Her tale

controversial

Here a sage, there a fraud

Yet none can deny her thoughts had

impact

A/N: Helena Blavatsky, also known as Madame Blavatsky, was an author and co-founder of the Theosophical Society. She herself described Theosophy as "the synthesis of science, religion and philosophy", proclaiming that it was reviving an "Ancient Wisdom" which underlay all the world's religions. She was quite a controversial figure, being considered a sage by some and a charlatan by others. She was also accused of faking paranormal phenomena, which presumably did not help matters.
