Relapse

Relapse is something that happens quite often
    whether it is popping pills or slicing skin.
Keeps track of all the days
    but she keeps having to hit replays.
Time and time after you heal
    you always seem to find the will.
The will to do it again
    no matter how bad the others have been.
You need something to rid of the pain
    so your sober days go down the drain.
When you start to relapse it gets intense
    the empty bottle and blood becomes the cleanse.
Starts with one bottle or one cut
    then you cannot seem to keep them shut.
Becomes obsessed with the hurt and marks
    your screams become quiet and no longer barks.
You find it inside you to internalize the scream and hurt
    the new ball is now in your court.
So relapse is something not wished upon any
    but it is something that is felt by many.
