Breathe

Daddy?

As Daddy buckled me in my car seat giving me my Winnie and dummy and putting my bag at the bottom of my feet
"Daddy an i hav blanke" I asked i was wanted that yellow soft blanket right now
"Sure baby bear" Daddy Said as he Layd the blanket on my lap
"Daddy w-where yo bawg" I asked, why didn't he have. Bag?
"Hm? What do you mean baby your going home with buddy daddy's not coming with" Daddy explained
My heart dropped instantly
"W-What?" I say panicked slipping out of my headspace
"But you can always visit me!" Daddy said
"N-No w-what?" I felt tears gather in my eyes
"Are we all ready!" I Heard buddy shout
"Ye-" Daddy started to say but I quickly cut him off
"N-No! No! Daddy!" I shouted and started to sob
Buddy came over to see what to problem was
"Daddy d-don leawve m-me" I cried out as my body shook with sobs and I tried to get out of my car seat
"What's happening?" Buddy asked daddy
Daddy explained and they both looked at me clueless on what to do
"D-Daddy" I screamed as I thrashed around trying to get out of the horrible car seat
It's so unfair he can't just leave me like this
Why does everyone want to leave me?
Is there something wrong with me?
What am I doing wrong?
Daddy unclipped the car seat and quickly gathered me into his arms as a sobbed and held onto him for life
"D-Don weave me!!" I Choked out sobbing into daddy's shoulder
"I-I'm sowwy do-don weave m-m-me daddy!" I cried out again
"Kody you need to calm down a breathe or your gonna pass out" Daddy said in a worried tone
Buddy was clueless on what to do so he just rubbed my back
"Kody copy my breathe okay?" Daddy said as he breathed in through his nose  and out through his mouth
I copied the method and started to feel better I didn't stop crying but I stoped hyperventilating which was a pretty amazing feeling
"What do we do?" Buddy asked finally with a worried look on his face
"Let's start by getting inside the house" Daddy said with a smile starting to the house

We got inside as buddy started wiping snot off my face
"I w-wan d-daddy!" I cried out and kicked my legs
"Daddy's got you baby Daddy's got you" Daddy said shushing and rocking me
"Has this ever happened before?" Buddy asked Daddy
"I mean I've had littles who've been upset but I just visit them and their fine, this has never happened before" Daddy explained to buddy while pushing a dummy between my lips
"Well...what do we do?" Buddy asked
"I honestly don't know" Daddy said clueless
"Kody? Wanna talk about how you feel little one?" Buddy asked grabbing my attention
"D-Daddy"I stuttered out behind my dummy
"Daddy what?" Buddy pushed
"D-Daddy n-nu weave" I said frowning and wrapping my arms around his neck
"Do you want to stay here with your Daddy?" Buddy asked
"Ya! A-an an bubba" I said with glee getting confused looks
"Who's bubba?" Daddy asked
Bubba? I pointed over at buddy
"I'm bubba?" He questioned
"Bubba!" I bounced
"Your bubba" Daddy chuckled and he looked at buddy
"That still doesn't solve our problem, Would you accept him as your little? I mean he already sees you as his main caregiver " Buddy asked daddy
"Yes! I would love that But what about you? the whole time you weren't here he was upset" Daddy asked bubba
"Hey Kiddo what if I visit you and you stay here with your Daddy?" Buddy asked smiling at Kody
"N-Nu bubba tay hewe" I pouted
I hear the men both sigh
"Baby bubba has a job and an apartment in the city he can't just stay here forever" Daddy explained
Tears welled up in my eyes, Daddy quickly took notice not wanting another crying fit
"Kody bear! Why don't we take a nap hm? Does that sound nice and we'll talk more when your big" Daddy asked bouncing me already heading upstairs
"N-Nu nap pway!" I whined
"Nope nap time baby bear" Daddy stated as he started to change me
I whined and kicked my legs carelessly
"Kody it's nap time please calm down baby bear" Daddy asked gently
I only took a nap because he asked nicely not because I was tired or anything

After nap

I woke up in my crib cuddling with my bear as my hair stuck to my sweaty forehead
"Daddyy bubbaa" I whined out in a quite voice
I hear foot steps coming towards the door
"Hey Kody bear" Daddy says in a gentle tone opening the door
Daddy walks over to my crib and quickly scooping me up and setting me on his hip
Daddy Carrie's me over to the changing table getting to work on changing my diaper and putting me in some fresh clothes that aren't drenched in sweat
"You hungry baby?" Daddy says picking me up and heading to the kitchen, where bubba sit at the table
"Bubba!" I shouted out making bubba look up at me from his tea
"Hello there little one" Bubba says in a kind voice
I smile and wiggle myself out of Daddy's arms running and tripping over to bubba
After we all sat all down Daddy started talking
"So Kody bear we were talking and we came up with some options so you can both see bubba and daddy, how does that sound?" Daddy started
I just looked at him clueless
"Bubba and I were thinking that Bubba can visit or maybe you can be at Bubbas and Daddy can visit or one half of the week you can be at bubbas and the other have you can be at bubbas" Daddy finished rambling
"N-Nu wa ant I liv wif bof bubba an Daddy" I pouted
"Well I have a job and apartment in the city kiddo and your daddy has a job and a house here" bubba explained
I just sat on bubbas lap pouting as I came to the realization I can't live with both bubba and daddy
