Sarah's Point of View

"Sarah Karen Roses, you are privileged! What were you thinking?! Stealing food? I'm sure your friends don't get the allowance you girls get- you get... And yet, they don't steal! You're spoiled, you're a brat! Tell me, what were you even thinking?!" Mom screamed from the phone.

"Dad, please," I whispered, "They want me to pay the legal fee of $5,000..."

"Five thousand? Oh my goodness, this is-"

"IAN, WE ARE NOT PAYING THAT!!" I heard Mom's voice screech in the background.

"If I don't pay it, I'm going to county jail!" I whimpered helplessly.
