Lexie's p.o.v

After I had to be dragged out of the bathroom by staff, having been in there for over 30 minutes and making other people have to wait for the only other toilet which was opposite to the one I had locked myself in, I walked back to my seat. Not surprisingly, I got a few glares and dirty looks, but I didn't let it bother me to much. Dylan sat their laughing at me as I waltzed back to my seat and shuffled past him. I turned and slapped him playfully on the shoulder.

"Shut it." I scowled at him.

"I can't believe you of all people just got dragged out of a toilet 5,000 feet in the air!" He whisper shouted, grin plaster on his face.

"Yeah yeah, whatever. Can we just not talk about... heights. Please?" I spoke firmly as I felt my chest tighten and the mention of the height we were at right now.

"Oh right, sorry. By the way, Mum is fast asleep so at least I'll have a great story to tell her when we get off the plane!" He sniggered again.

I rolled my eyes at his immature and pathetic behavior. How can he be 21 yet act like he's 12? It's literally the reverse of his age but to be honest I should be surprised.

To distract myself, I shut the window and grabbed out my laptop and headphones. Not only had I downloaded a tone of games and movies, I had also downloaded videos from the feature on YouTube red where it allows you to download YouTube videos and watch them later. As I logged on, I decided to waste sometime playing 'donut rush' and then I watched 2 episodes of friends.

After that I opened wattpad, one of my favorite apps, it's so fun and I enjoy writing and reading. It's a great pastime. I opened one of my current works called 'Complex' which wasn't a fanfic it was a piece I was writing about a girl who finds out her mum who she hadn't ever met is actually an alien, so to speak, and her Dad was human so she is half human half alien and had all these cool powers blah blah blah. Anyway, I'm really happy with it at the moment and already have 35.7k reads on it! Beginning to type, I smile, feeling words just come to me. I was writing chapter 45 and needed to get an update out on Friday which was still 4 days away but better safe than sorry.

From then, time just seemed to slip away and before you know it, I had not only finished my chapter, but the flight attendant had come and ask that I put my laptop and do up my seatbelt as we were about to land. A wave of anxiety built up inside me.

Landings can be bumpy, what if theirs turbulence?

Again my brain jumped to conclusions. My brother noticed my semi panic and put and arm around my shoulders after I'd done up my seatbelt. I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"It will be fine. And trust me once we land it will be worth it! You have no idea." He whispered as the captain announcement boomed through the plane.

"What do you mean..?" I question unsure of what he meant by 'it will be worth it'.

"Oh you'll see!" He said, turning his head away to look behind and see if Mum was still asleep.

Which she was, headphones on and deep asleep. Mind you she looked comfy in her grey trackies and salmon colored sweatshirt. Much more comfy to fly in then my black ripped skinny jeans, white converse, white tank and black bomber jacket over top.

My stomach dropped as the plane seemed to drop down closer and closer to the ground. And then suddenly the worst thing happened.

"Good afternoon, passengers. This is your Captain speaking again, just advising that you secure all belongings and remain seated as we are more than likely about to experience some turbulence. It's nothing to worry about, unfortunately the weather isn't great so it has caused us to maybe experience some turbulence. Thank you for your time and hopefully you enjoyed your flight. Hope to see you fly with us again! Good afternoon." His deep voice echoed and made my heart sink.

The last thing I wanted was the be thrown about in a metal box for the next 10 minutes. Being bumped around was most definitely not fun and with Mum fast asleep and Dylan absorbing int whatever he was listening to through his headphones my calming myself down techniques were most definitely not working. Dylan still had an arm rested around my shoulders which did make me feel safer but I was still very anxious.

Then it happened, the plane began to bump and I could have sworn my heart stopped in my chest right then and there. I grasped the seat rests, my fingernails digging into the leathery material. I wanted out. I wanted out now. As we descended the turbulence got worse, my stomach churned with the juggling of the plane.

I really really can't wait for this to be over as soon as possible.
