"She said what?" Shuhua's usual soft tone turned harsh to the point where Eunae actually had to flinch back when she exclaimed next to her ear.
"Keep your voice down, don't embarrass me," Eunae muttered lowly, her fingers wrapping around Shuhua's wrist and pulling her inside of an empty classroom, closing the door behind them.
"All that happened and you didn't tell me?" Shuhua demanded as soon as Eunae came to stand before her after checking there was no one around the classroom or in the hallway next to it.
"I'm telling you now," she stated in a gullible tone, "Besides, it had happened when I was walking out anyway, what could I have possibly done? Call you in front of them? Look like a loser who needs backup when someone corners me?" She rambled on, her words tumbling into one another as her speaking voice turned down and pace fastened, something subtle yet a habit of hers whenever she was nervous.
And as much as she hated to admit it, she was shaken, by all of it. She hadn't welcomed any of it in her life, never wanted something as petty as this to get in the way of her daily life.
"That bitch is asking for it at this point," Shuhua gritted through her teeth after a couple seconds of silence, but the look in her eyes softened as she took a good notice of Eunae before her. "I really thought she was nice, I mean she did act like it when we ran into them in the fair that day."
