The buzzing sound surrounding the air seemed to heighten each time someone walked in the class, and those close to them flocked around them and spoke of their summer break.

If you paid much attention, you could even catch some of the words they were sprouting. Which is exactly why Eunae tried her best to shut the noise out, partly because of not wanting to listen in on someone else's conversation, and partly because she started losing herself in a memory that recently has been wandering about in her head, looking for a way to capture her.

"I'm sorry that I hurt you," Eunae spoke through the crack in her bedroom door, leaning against it to not let the person outside in, "But I'm not sorry for anything else. And I'm sure as hell not sorry for leaving like this," she added.

The other side was silent for a long moment, and Eunae half believed the person behind the door had walked away, until she heard his voice thick and clouded with a somberness. "Did you really," his words seemed to die in his throat before he caught on, "Did you really never thought of me as anything other than a friend?"

Eunae's breath came short at the question, even though she had been anticipating it since the situation they'd gotten themselves into the previous night, which lasted only until Eunae let it slip that she was leaving for Seoul the next day.
