Four legs remained on the ground as the two that came from its back, remained high in the air, "What the fuck?" Remi was disgusted by what he was witnessing, confused, "We gotta make it to the woods," He quietly urged the group, that was frozen in spot. He didn't even want to know what that thing looked like, let alone wanting to watch it and potentially get caught. His eyes looked towards the trees, seeing a break in the tree brush, and figured that would be the way to go.

The creature stood on two legs, picking up an item from below. The limbs of its victim waved lazily in the air as the creature grasped its torso. It took a second before Riley gasped, noticing what the creature was doing. She flinched, looking away.

A death defying snap had made the four jump, seeing a human snapped backwards at a thirty six degree angle. Valerie had gagged at how bones protruded through the stomach and rib cage and covered her mouth. Theo watched his mouth gaping in shock, eyes fixated on what he was watching.

They couldn't look away as it began to devour its food as if it hasn't eaten in years. Remi silently began to creep towards the clearing in the woods. Riley noticed this and tapped at Valerie's shin, gaining her attention. A subtle head gesture, told the girl that they were ready to move on. Riley stayed crouched as she followed Remi.

Turning, Valerie waved her hand silently over Theo's face. The boy blinked a few times as his grip settled from the wooded picnic table. He wanted to shout at her to leave him be, but but his tongue as his vision adjusted back to the creature. He broke away, and followed after Valerie who crept away from him, and through the last bit of the open clearing.

A small sigh left Theo's lips as he was the last to enter the beaten pathway without being maimed. Silently, the group walked in a single filed line, hustling up the walkway. They didn't need to speak, as they all knew that that thing was behind them somewhere. Theo hadn't once even asked for a cigarette, making it his mission to get to the car before they could have a second of relaxation - despite desperately needing one.

The walk back to the rubbled parking lot was much faster then the walk to the party. The eyes had adjusted to the darkness of night, so they had traveled in darkness - trying to be quiet as possible so they didn't attract the monster.

The adrenaline was pumping through their veins as Remi darted out in-front of the car, practically sliding over the front bumper before fiddling nervously with the keys that wouldn't come out of his pocket.

The other three stood at their own doors, Valerie and Riley in the back while Theo stood at shotgun, yanking at the car, "Remi," Riley hissed panicking, as he finally got the keys from his pocket. Getting them from him denim jeans pocket, they fell onto the dark rubbled ground, "Remi," The group urged as they kept looking behind themselves.

Bending down, Remi's hands scanned the rubble. His finger hooked through the loop, "Ah ha!" He stood, laughing, and twirled it around his finger.

"Shut the fuck up," Riley clenched her jaw, whispering, practically threatening him. Fumbling with the key, he slid it into the car door, yanking back on the door. He pressed the unlock door button and everyone got in quickly, slamming their doors shut.

Remi put the keys into the car, letting it come to life, "Lock your doors," Valerie warned as Remi pressed the lock all button. Theo pulled his injured arm into his lap, finally pulling up his sleeve to pressed on it.

His arm was throbbing, now that their adrenaline was wearing off.  He sighed and held his good arm behind his seat, "Can I have a smoke?" He asked and Valerie quickly pulled the cigarette pack from her pocket, handing it to him, "Thanks," He mumbled as he pulled a cigarette out and going for his lighter in his front pocket. Patting his pocket, there was noting in it, "Dammit!" He yelled before punching out at the dashboard. He needed a cigarette and the weight of everything was collapsing on him. He couldn't breathe as the cigarette nearly fell from his mouth with his uneven breathing.
