Amrah's POV

Soon after I saw him off, I went back inside and packed the plates and cups we used and took them back to the kitchen.

On reaching the main living room, I overheard mama trying to convince abbey to let me attend tomorrow's dinner party.

I thought it'd be rude to eavesdrop so I quickly head upstairs to my room. Besides, my appearance might make baba to not ever change his mind in allowing me go, so I passed.

The room was strangely quiet unlike all times. I sat by the bed side and looked over to Nafisa's bedspace.

It has only been a day and half since she left together with our youngest sister, hanan to aunt maryam's house. But am missing them already.....yes we're an all girls fam😇

It's not like we're the best sisters you'd ever find but the house strangely feels empty whenever one of them is not around.

A knock came through the door before it was dragged open. Mama came in with a smile plastered on her face.

She sat beside me before she snapped her head towards me.

"Toh After millionth beggings and covincings, your father has finally agreed on you going out tomorrow" She finished off grinning

I looked at her like a cuckoo hoping to see a sign that says 'am messing with you' but I found none .

I jumped up from bed and gave her a bone crushing hug

"Thank You mama! Thank You so much, I love youu" I kept saying on and on

"Okay okay let me go first, you're hugging me so tight, release me at once" she said as she tried to pry me off her

I released her and tried calming down my dancing nerves

"But...... " she interjected

oh no I hate buts😰

"On one condition, he said you can never go alone, so I suggested Nafisa goes along with you" she tried explaining

Phew!!!! that was close😮‍💨

"Alright mama in sha Allah" I uttered as I kept smiling with a joyous heart🥳

"Jaira! Look at how you're celebrating ko kunya" she glared at me😏

"Oh mamaaaa!" I dragged while burying my face inside my palms😌

"Daga baya kenan" she chuckled before she stood up and made her way out

I couldn't stop my dancing heart from imagining how tomorrow will be 'extra terrific'.

I stood up, changed into my sleeping dress and made a mental note to call mubarak before sleeping.

As I lay on bed, I couldn't stop my mind from reflecting on what to wear for the party, which shoe, which veil, neckless?? blah blah and with that I slowly drifted into sleep

I woke up 10mins past 2:00am and felt pressed. So I head to the toilet and eased myself. I came back and decided to text mubarak before I go back to sleeping.

"Ameen Ya Allah! It's fine love and thank you for the do'a. Your teddy bear misses you and can't wait to see you tomorrow "

I read out his reply and smiled before I shut the phone off and let my sleeping hormones do their thing.
