Which one? After time and distance does one best friend get left in the past or does it stay the same? Do I have more than one?
No, I have one. Had one. I've known I'd be replaced, was getting replaced, for a long time now. The words never quiet came up like that though. It wasn't a solid thought, not like that, just a collection of feelings I worked through without noticing.
It still feels terrible in a way but it's not like I lost them. Their still there but I'm over here and there's too much space and there's been too much time.
Your still my best friend even if I was never yours. Im proud of you for coming so far, for healing as much as you have despite the struggle.
It's okay to replace me, it's better that way.
After all, I'm not fully gone.
