Sarah's POV
"Doctor Kaitlyn is asking you to join her surgery now" Emily Doctor Kaitlyn's assistant informs me.
"Okay" I reply before hanging up .
Walking through the hospital's corridors which are well built, bright and plastered lined wide enough to fit four stretcher carts. After entering the Operation Room I was greeted by the nurse who helped me fit into my gown , smiling at Doctor Kaitlyn she gave me a quick nod before I went and stood right opposite of her .

"Good work Sarah " Dr. Kaitlyn said patting my back.
"You too Doctor" I replied ,smiling she went to her department.

"So how was your date with Adam!?" Daniella asks giving me the "I-know-what-actually-happened-don't-you-dare-lie-to-me" look.
Staring outside of the window sipping my tea really not interested where our conversation is going. Adam would have probably told her what happened last night
"I told you to put at least a little effort in your dates !".She says while glaring at me .
I shrug while replying" I did !".
" Yea? what exactly did you put effort in??" she asks trying to stay as calm as possible
" I got dressed "I reply still staring outside.
"YOU-" she got cut offed by my phone ringing.
"Good Afternoon Dr. Henderson " I answer it smiling.
"Evening" Dan mutters correcting me, it was half past four .
" Hello Sarah are you free at the moment ?" Dr. Henderson asks me on the other line.
"Yes I am " I reply happy that I was getting out Dan's wrath don't get me wrong I love my bestfriend but sometimes she just gets on my nerves by bring up the topic of setting me up with someone or getting into a relationship in general.
Its not like I don't want to be in a relationship I just can't . I feel nauseous just at the thought of being with some and even if I do I just get bored easily and push them away. Its my fault and I have no idea as to why I act like that.
The same thing happened with my date Adam he seemed like a really nice guy but at the thought of just being in a relationship with him almost gave me a panic attack. I just gave him dry replies when he asked me questions and he probably realised that I wasn't interested and after dinner he dropped me home.
"Could you please come to my office now?"she asks .
"Yes " I reply almost immediately . After few more 'yes' she hangs up.
"Did Dr. Henderson summon you ?" She asks blankly staring at her half eaten bread pudding.
I laughed nodding. There are only two reasons Dr.Henderson would ever summon me to her office it was either to assist few surgons or invigilate the first year residents in my cardiology department .
I was probably the only 26 year old in my department who was in their third year residency because I got selected in a six year program which is supposed to hard to get in and most of the third years were either 28 , 29 or more

"Come in" I hear Dr.Henderson say
On entering her office , I close the door only to realise that I wasn't the only one present in her office aside from Dr.Henderson obviously .
A man who was probably the same age as me or a year older sat with his back facing me on one of those chairs right opposite to Dr.Henderson's desk.
"Please have a seat Sarah" she says
Nodding I sit next to the guy who is still unknown to me not sparing him a glance .
"This is Augustus Hadleigh and he will be working in thr cardiology department from now on and is in the same residence as you, I would like you show him around when your free" she pauses and I nodded like an obedient child .
" and please take care of my son "she continues.
My eyes go wide but I try to mask it and I look the man named Augustus.
"Dr.Henderson-" He tries to speak but Dr.Henderson cuts him by saying
" I know sweetie you didn't want anyone to know but I just want to let her know. I trust her " she says giving me a smile
I give her a small smile in return.
Did she really trust me? It made my heart clench just thinking about my family none of them trusted me . I was only a burden to my parents and when I got into a university in Connecticut they were overjoyed at the fact that I wouldn't be with them most of the time.
"Maddoc's brother ?" I ask Dr.Henderson.
She simply nods .
He looks surprised.
"Your not going to tell anyone about , get it?" Augustus tells me .
Ooo British. I like it
I looked at him nodding, he had chocolate brown hair with the most beautiful green eyes I have ever seen and probably one of the most good looking people I have ever met.
Wait what ! Snap out of it bitch!
"Alright, you two can leave now"

" How on earth do you Maddoc?" He asks while, walking down the corridors.
" I just know him I guess " I simply shrug.
" I hope you aren't after his money " he says continues to walk .
I stopped in my tracks tears welling up my eyes.
Noticing that I am not next to him he turns to look at me rasing one of his perfect eyebrows.
"What?" He deadpans.
"You probably know how wealthy my family is?" He continues
I place my index finger on either side of my ears to prevent myself from crying.
I don't care if he thinks I'm weird and I don't even bother telling him that's Maddoc is Dan boyfriend.
Maybe it's my fault that I look like a gold digger..

"This is our department if you have any questions you can ask me or anyone in our department " I instruct him
"Okay" he says while pushing the door open
"Hey Dr.Sarah the director has sent you some new paper work and also for some name-" Matilda gets interrupted when she looks at us from her desk
"Yea I know , this is Augustus Hadleigh, he will be working in our department from now " I tell her .
"You can close your mouth now Til " I look at her weirdly I mean I know he is good looking but stop make it so obvious.
"S-Sorry" she says while clearing her throat a small blush appearing on her checks and ears.
"This is Matilda she is in her second year residency and their two more people who will be here and there is another cardiology department right opposite to ours " I tell him
Nodding his head he greets Matilda and I give him his assigned work .
