"I'm so tired!" I said as Chase and I entered the house again and noticed it was dark, except for the kitchen light that was on "I'll just go to bed, early flight and all..." I said and bit my lip awkwardly, he just chuckled lightly and started to make his way to his room but stopped once he'd opened the door

"Uh... we have a little situation." he whispered as he waved me over, I frowned in confusion but made my way towards him anyway and glanced over his shoulder. And what did I see? Ashley and Jase sleeping in the bed that was meant to be just the boys'. Just great! "There's a note stuck to the door too." he said as he took it off from the other side of the door and let out a low chuckle as he shook his head and handed it over to me

'You're welcome! x' It read, I crumbled the piece of paper and threw it on the ground as I shook my head, staring at Ashley who was fast asleep on the bed, if only my glare would manage to wake her up, I failed.

"What are we going to do now?" I said as I walked out of the room, Chase shutting the door softly behind him

"I can just sleep on the couch." he answered "It's no problem." he shrugged and I shook my head

"Don't be ridiculous!" I said "There's a perfectly good bed there, I can't just let you sleep on the couch because our friends are idiots!" I laughed

"Won't it be awkward?" he said, rubbing the crook of his neck "You, having a boyfriend and all..." he muttered, but I barely caught what he had said

"It's not like we haven't slept in the same bed before..." I said as I shifted my weight from one foot to another and crossed my arms over my chest "if you don't want to, it's fine!" I said and he waved me off

"You know that's not it." he said as he ducked his head "I want to feel that again more than anything." I sucked in a deep breath before shaking my hair and shrugging as I walked into the bedroom and grabbing my pajamas, heading to the bathroom and locking the door behind me just to be safe. For some unknown reason, I was kind of nervous. It had been really long since Chase and I had slept in the same bed and the last time we did we were dating and now I was seeing someone else. He was right, maybe this would be awkward in the morning... but in my defense we had no other option thanks to our idiotic friends for that matter. What can you do?

I opened the door with shaky hands and another shaky breath, and stepped out of the bathroom, setting my dirty clothes aside so I could pack them in the morning and saw Chase was sitting on the bed with his back to me, he seemed to be deep in thought by the way he was sitting, I noticed that when we were dating. When he felt the bed sink, he turned around and shot me a soft smile as I ducked under the covers since I was wearing an oversized t-shirt and a really short pair of shorts underneath, but it seemed as if I was wearing none. What kind of girl doesn't love sleeping in oversized t-shirts?

Neither one of us said anything for the first couple of minutes, you could just hear the faint sound of the waves in the distance and the sound of us breathing as I stared at the ceiling and from my peripheral vision I could tell he was too, you could practically smell the awkwardness in the room.

"This is just too weird." I said with a soft laugh "But familiar, too." I said, barely audible. He turned to face me and smiled softly, he looked... content. "Why are you staring at me like that?" I whispered

"No reason." he answered "I'm just studying you." he said "So I can remember you like this after you're gone." he added and I started to fiddle with my fingers "Messy hair, no makeup, an oversized t-shirt, that little crease on your forehead you get when you frown." he whispered softly as his thumb reached up to caress my face "But most of all, those beautiful eyes." Oh great, he'd getting all sappy on me now. "And mesmerizing smile." he added with a faint smile "That Daniel's one lucky guy." he breathed "He really doesn't know what an amazing girl he's got."
