Hope POV

We finally made it to Delaware.

"So all we have to do is find some girl name Emma and drop 250,000 dollars off" I said

"Yeah but why would it take us 2 months for this trip?" Josie asked

"Maybe we need to find her.. your dad-"

"Not my dad"

"Well, Alaric. He didn't give us any information on Emma, so maybe that's why it would take us this long." I said

"It's a big place, how are we going to find her?" She asked

"Did your dad- I mean Alaric, did he give you any pictures or maybe what she looked like?" I asked

"He gave me one picture and told me to work with it" she says

"Okay. Show me then amore" I said

"I told you hope... strictly business no more flirting... none of that" she says

"Fine.. whatever you say gorgeous" I said with a smirk

"That's funny how I was the flirtatious one and now you are... hope— I meant every word I said" she says

"We don't work hope... we aren't even dating nor have we and we are already toxic, I don't want to be in a toxic relationship." She says

"Okay. I respect your wishes, but I promise you... I will always be here for you" I said

"I know... and I'm happy you are" she says

I just nodded.

This may be wrong but I think everyone deserves forgiveness and this is why I'm unblocking maya.

"Can you tell me where we will be staying?" Josie asked as I slide my phone into my back pocket.

"We have to get a hotel, apparently your dad doesn't have any housing down here." I said

"How hard is it to just give someone 250,000?" She asked as she walked into the building.

It was some hotel.

"Thank you for your service." I told the lady at the counter.

"The pleasure is all mine.." the lady says

"So why do you think he picked out this hotel? Because obviously this is his taste" Josie says

"I don't know." I said

I then handed the lady my card.

"Umm, there's only one room here— will you like to take it?" The lady asked

I then looked down at her name tag. It read 'Emma tig' wasn't this rich.

"Thank you... me and my wife will surely appreciate this" I said before sliding my hands into Josie's.

She looked at me confused.

"I love young love... me and my husband got married 5 years ago.. when my kids were just turning 3" she says with a smile.

She seemed like a nice lady.

"Well I hope all is well" I said

I smiled nervously because I was scared that Josie would say something to fuck up the plan.

"I will take your bags." Some girl that looked like she works a here said

"We are fine." I said

"It's my job." The girl insisted.
