"Aubrielle, how's your clinic going?"
"Mrs. Sarmiento it's nice seeing you here," I politely told her and asked to my co-worker that I'll catch up on them, "It goes so smooth than last year. Marami'ng salamat talaga sa tulong niyo po," I smiled to her with kindness.
"Wala yun. Para'ng hindi kayo magkaibigan ni Pria," she said. "And oh. My husband agreed to also cooperate to help your clinic to grow."
My eyes widened as I heard her words. "Talaga po? Subrang marami'ng salamat po!" I said and bit my lip to control the happiness I felt right now. I've been waiting on this moment and now it's happening, it's damn happening! Para'ng sasabog yung ulo ko sa saya.
"Yes. Goodluck on your journey hija. Now I have to go," Pagpaalam niya sa'kin at umalis na kaagad. Tumalikod ako sabay kuha ng phone ko sa coat ko at dali'ng tinawagan si Shaira para sabihin ang maganda'ng balita. It takes two rings before she picked up the call.
["Ano kailangan mo?"]
"Mr. Sarmiento agreed to help us! God Shaira it's happening now!"
["Gago seryoso? Y-yung tatay ni Pria? What the— gago ang laki ng tulong nun sa'tin Aubrie!"]
"Kaya nga. Nasa clinic ka pa ba?" I asked her and make my way to Aurie's office.
["Wala bali yun sa'kin. Arat inoman na!"]
I laughed and stopped in front of my sister's office before I knocked. "Sige sige mamaya. Sunduin mo ako dito?"
["Yes sis. See you.] I chuckled and shake my head when she hung up the call before I open the door.
"Oh, Aubrie. You need something?" Aurie asked me while reading something on hee desk. Lumapit ako sa kanya at binaba ang hawak niya'ng mga papel. Her eyebrows furrowed. "What? May ginawa ka na naman ba?"
Umiling ako na may ngiti sa mukha ko. "Pumunta lang ako dito para magpasalamat sa support mo."
"Huh? What?"
I told her what happened and she also jumped in joy after she knew why I'm thanking her. Wala oa sa sa isa'ng minuto ay tinawagan na niya kaagad si Mama para sabihin ang balita. Even though mama was on the other line lang ay alam ko na tumatalon din yun sa tuwa. I love how my family getting more supportive than usual. I know that they've doing this because everytime I'm disappointed on myself siya yung lagi ko'ng naiisip.
I wonder how's his life in US. Is he doing well on his work? Kung ano man naabot niya ngayon, masaya ako at proud sa kanya. At nalulungkot at the same time kasi wala ako sa panahong yun.
"Okay Aubrielle," Tumingin ako kay Aurie nung tinawag niya ako. She was smiling like an idiot whilw texting someone on her phone but she put down it on the table when she's done. "Sabi ni mama kakain daw—"
"Iinom daw kami nila Shaira tonight," I said and crossed my arm as I leaned my back on her desk.
"Oh," she said after she knew.
Tumawa ako. "Joke lang. Kain muna tayo ng dinner ngayon and later nalang yung alcohol."
"Sure," she grinned. "Just don't drink to much. Remember you have—"
"A weak heart. Opo Ate, c'mon I'm adult now. I can take care of myself," I cut her off and carresed her shoulder. "Alis na ako. I have work pa." She escorted me outside of her office and I make my way back on my work.

"God sis you're gorgeous!" Shaira compliment me as I reached on their table. I saw my friends laughing together.
"Galing sa date yan? Ayie," pang-aasar sa'kin ni Reagann.
I rolled my own eyes at her. "Yes with my fam," sabi ko at umupo sa tabi ni Shaira. Inabot sa'kin ni Pria yung "Cheers?"
"Cheers for the success ladies!" My friends shout and chugged together with them.
"Ay kalahati lang? Ang hina mo naman ata ngayon, nangyari?" Reagann asked, obviously challenging me about drinks. Inirapan ko lang siya bago ininom yung kalahati at inismaran siya. Mukhang natuwa naman si gaga kasi kita ko yung ngiti niya nung uminom siya.
"Hey congrats," Lia greeted me when Reagann and Shaira wasn't around anymore. I saw them going on the crowded dancefloor pero hindi ko na alam kung saan planeta na sila gumapang.
"Salamat. Sayo din," I smiled.
"Good thing you convinced that maldita over there," Zeph said. "Congrats by the way."
"I can hear you mga punyeta," singit ng isa sa usapan namin habang may kausap siya sa phone.
"Nagulat nga ako na tinulungan ako nun kahit hindi naman ako nag ask," I replied.
"Wow. Night changes," Lia shrugged.
We've been dancing like idiot all night hanggang malasing kami. Buti nalang kasi sinundo ako ni Aurie at inalagaan ako kaya kumportable yung tulog ko. I feel like old days even though I'm getting older by day and day. Gosh my old days thoughs attacking me again.
I woke up with a hard headache on my head. It's maybe it's been a while since I drink again or dahil naparami lang ako. Babangon na sana ako nung nag-ring yung phone ko sa ilalim ng unan ko. I don't know why is there pero gosh I forgot I'm almost way to drunk last night.
"Auntie hi. Kamusta po?" I asked as I answered the call. I'm still on my sleepy voice but yet I'm fully awake.
["O-okay ka na ba ngayon?"]
"Yeah? I mean ba't ganyan po yung boses niyo? Umiiyak po ba kayo?"
She started crying again.
Bumangon ako sa higaan ko at huminga ng malalim. Something's off.
"Auntie... Ano'ng nangyari?"
["Y-yung gran mo... she's resting peacefully. H-hindi na s-siya... magising..."]
