Once upon a time there was a small cottage outside a grand kingdom, and inside the cottage was a boy and his mother, while they were poor they stayed optimistic and kept their relationship strong and they were happy with their small family.

In the nearby kingdom there was a queen and king with their three children, the two princesses Lea and Bahiyyih and the next in line to the throne prince Hueningkai, yes i know lea is older but fairytales are sexist what can you expect.

The prince lived a strange life to say the least, he was put into all sorts of princely programs but dont be fooled his life wasn't the glamour most royality is given, in fact if he wasn't his fathers only son he would've been kicked to the curb long ago, he was treated like shit by his parents and "corrected" for the littlest thing

The kingdom annually had a festival for the young princes birthday and released different coloured hommade lanterns as well as shooting fireworks, the festival was loved by all including the small two person family mentioned earlier.

Speaking of which, they should probably be introduced. In the cottage lived Soobin a teen boy of about 16 and his monther Soulhee a younger mother who was the same age as her son when he was born making her presently 32, the two grew up with an amazing mother son relationship.

Every year the family went on picnics past the small forest they lived in and watched the festival going on in the kingdom, sadly they could never actually go in person due to Soulhee suffering from stage 4 cancer

As time passed and Soulhees condition worsened the two began to have to watch the festival from their windows.

As more years passed Soulhee didnt get better no matter what doctors they went to no matter how much they manifested and tried witchy options Soulhee eventually passed, leaving her only son heartbroken and alone in their small isolated cottage.

More years passed and Soobin was still living alone in the little cottage, now accompanied by his mothers ashes and an injured cat that he had found wondering the woods.

Our story now goes back to prince Hueningkai, who was once again being corrected for one reason or another

"youre a disgrace" his mother sneered as she smacked him "how DARE you do this to our family" she said kicking him down

Most days were like this, Kai would get beat for his wrongdoings. Unlike most people treated like this Kai smiled throughout it all, his mother was finally paying attention to him, he wasnt stuck as a shadow.

Yes Kai was convinced that his mothers beatings were her way of loving him, so he started acting out more just to get attention from his parent.

His father was the same, always disappointed in his only son, and thats when we come to the present date. Kai had been spotted sneaking out of the castle, the punishment he received was a beating as well as a months banishment during the stormy flood season

So now here he was muddy, crying and bleeding in the middle of the forest. The young prince clumsily wandered through the thick woods, which were flooding and extremely muddy

The flood waters were now 9 inches deep and Kai was starting to give up hope before he eventually stumbled upon a small cottage on a small hill that kept it from being flooded.

He began the walk up the hill hating himself for becoming a mess, but alas made it to the porch before passing out due to exhaustion

Meanwhile in the house Soobin heard a loud crash outside and ran to his room to hide thinking that it was more thunder. Soobin had always had a fear of storms and it had been worse since Soulhee had passed
