Maybe hiding in a tree wasn't your best bet, but getting too far from home called for dire actions.
Especially with the weird-looking people roaming around below you.
Keeping quiet, you stuck close to the branches as you watched the people down there with wide eyes of curiousity. They were sitting around a table and chatting together. About what? You didn't really hear them well. However, the curiousity tugged at your head, so you leaned in closer, treading carefully across the branch.
A sudden snapping noise, and as soon as you knew it, you were falling from the tree, your surroundings becoming a blur. You couldn't help but let out a squeal of terror as you approached the ground, faster and faster and faster until-
Instead of the harsh landing of the solid ground, the feeling of velvety sleeves encompassed your small figure. From squinted eyes, you looked up. A circular clock face greeted your vision, wide orange optics meeting yours, laced with confusion and curiousity.
