"Is he trying?" She asked
"Bitch yes the fuck do you think I would've fucked him" I grabbed my juice and was about to walkout

"Vell please don't start" I said he sat on my bed

Li that nigga twenty on you seventeen he only want one thing Li and I'm tryna save you cause the day you come home crying because on ole dude" he paused and looked me in the eyes "you think pops a problem I'm doing life you my baby sister I'm supposed to protect you at all cost and I'm gone do just that" he finished
"And I understand Vell and as you should but can you at least act like you like him for me" I pout "and if he disrespected me in a way of no return then it off with buddy head" I said joking the last part we laughed and Asia walked in
"What y'all talking about?" She asked
"Aye what about shorty you share that dorm with" Vell asked
"I done told you multiple times mr sir she is strictly dickly gay" she replied
"Me too" he said we all laughed "we a perfect match"
"Nah you stupid" I said
"As fuck" Asia said he waved us off "and the keys in the office" Asia said he walked out "I'm sorry about what happened in the kitchen" she said
I shook my head "it's cool" I said
"Can I ask you something?" She asked
"Yeah wassup" I said
"I promise this the last you hear me talk about yo relationship" she looked me in the eyes "why go back to him after what happened at the hospital?"
"Have yo ever felt empty inside?" I asked and she nodded "I never knew I was empty inside until we connected it's was like electricity" I smiled "whenever shit from his past is brought up it makes me sick to my stomach. I love him the way I love my daddy and brother and I can't lose neither of them just that alone make me" I closed my eyes and shook my head she rubbed my hand and I looked her in her eyes "I never told anybody this but one day I just walked out school and some weird dude snatched me up and took me into a abandoned house to rape and kill me but guess who came and saved me" she looked at me with sympathy in her eyes "it's not like I owe him my life but I know I owe him my love" I finished
"Wow Li" she stood up off my bed "I'm sorry that happened to you" she held her hands over her chest "I'm just a outsider looking in and I was judging a book by its cover" she said
"It's cool Asia I know where you was coming from you just want better for me" she smiled
"I got some extra pancakes if you want some I'm about to go to my dorm in a hour" she changed the subject
"How you like the college life?" I asked
"It's life you hear me getting coffee before class like in the movies" she squirmed "the parties man these Chicago mothafucka crazy" she chuckled
"What you studying?" I asked
"Criminal Justice" she replied
"Lawyer?" I asked
"Nah forensic" she said
"That's what's up" I said
"What about you have you applied for colleges yet?" She asked
"Yeah USC, Spelman and Clark Atlanta that's it so far" I said
"Okay then what you gone study?"
"Since last summer I took business classes I wanna study nursing or something" I said
"Nurse Li I can see you now" we laughed "I ain't about talk yo head off" she walked to the door "love you" she said I said it back
