Another week and I was up and moving around now. I still never saw Riot during the day. B made sure of that. So most of my time was spent with Psycho or Jack.

"I think I'm done..." he stated.
"Hm?"
"The painting. Well, obviously I'd still have some finishing touches but..."
I wrapped myself in my sheet, got off of my stool, and walked over.

"I have to fix some shading but...I think it's pretty okay." Jack claimed.

It was better than okay. It was as if he'd taken a picture of me in black and white.

"It's amazing." I complimented.
"You think so?" He looked at me and asked.
"Yea. I love it."
"I'm glad."
We both looked back at it.

"You're very beautiful." he stated.
I smiled to myself.
"I don't think I've ever been more excited to do a painting. Until it was time to do yours."
He took my hand and pulled me into his lap. We looked at it together.

I felt a gentle kiss onto my shoulder as I held my sheet up and around my body.
"You're so talented." I told him.
"I'm glad you think so because I still can't dance to save my life."
I snickered.
He held my hand.

A phone began to ring.

He picked his up from the table next to him and looked at the contact.

"Oh...I'm gonna go take this. You can get dressed." he kissed my cheek and I got out of his lap.
"Okay." I replied as he walked towards the exit.

"Hey..." he answered it and left out of the door.

I went back to my clothes and started getting dressed.
I wondered who he was on the phone with. Maybe it was another art gallery or buyer.

He came back inside right as I finished sliding on my jacket.

"Buyer?" I wondered.
"Hm?"
"Your phone call. Was it a potential buyer?"
"Oh! Uh, yea. They needed help accessing my website."
"Oh."

He sat his phone on the table next to me and began cleaning up his materials.

"So what do you want me to do with it?" he asked.
"Oh, I don't know. You can sell it if you want."
"Really?"
"Yea, I don't mind."
"I'll consider it. I'm not sure what I'd do with it. It's special." He smiled at me.

I looked back at it.

The phone vibrated next to me.

"Lia: When do you come back? I miss you and we still have some planning to do."

"You got a text message." I told him.
"Okay, I'll get it."
"It's from someone named Lia." I continued.
He looked up at me.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing. I'll get it." He walked over and took his phone.

I felt uneasy.

"Who's Lia?" I wondered.
"She's my sister."
"Oh, okay. I don't remember you telling me you had any siblings. Or mentioning a sister ever. And it's been a month so..."
"Didn't know I was supposed to." he claimed.
"No, it's just...after a month...you'd expect me to know that you have close relatives. I know about your mom. Your dad. Rest In Peace. Your stepdad. But I haven't heard about a sister. That's strange, don't you think?"
"Not really."
"Mm."

I grabbed my purse and phone then headed towards the door.

"Woah! Hey, where are you going?" he asked and grabbed onto my wrist.
"I'm leavin'. You have fun talkin' to your sister. I'm sure you miss her back." I took my wrist back and kept walking.
"Leila, stop."
"Stop what? Do you not want quality time with your sister?"
He sighed and rolled his eyes.
"Okay, great. You have fun. I'm leaving."

I walked out of the door and headed to my chauffeured vehicle.

I made it back home and traveled to my room.

I received a text.

"Leila it's not what you think it is." Jack sent.
"If it wasn't what I think it is then you wouldn't have let me walk out of the door without you explaining."

He didn't respond. Exactly.

A part of me was hoping to see Riot but I knew I wouldn't because of how early it was.

Then I got an idea. But it would have to wait until later tonight.
Until then, I took a nap.

...

It was midnight now and I went to find B.

I bumped into Riot on my way there.
"Hi..." I was smiling from ear to ear and tried to stop because I knew I looked stupid but I couldn't.
"Hi." He smiled back. "Why're you so happy?"
"No reason." I looked down.
"Hm." He kissed my head then all over my face and lips, causing me to laugh fondly.

"Where're you goin'?" he asked.
"To see B. I have an idea."
"He's about to go to bed."
"That's what I was hoping for."
He was clearly confused.
"Nothin'. Just go wait in my room."
"Alright?"

I continued on my way to B's room.

I got there and knocked on the door.

"Yea?" he answered.

I opened it and saw that he was crawling into bed.

"Hey, is this a bad time?" I asked.
"No, I got a few seconds before my eyes glue shut. What do you need?"
"Tomorrow can we all go out together? I know you're mad at me about what happened but I miss hangin' out with you three..."
He looked at me.

"Please..." I begged.

This wasn't what I was here for. It was an excuse.

"Fine, brat. We'll go to number 1 tomorrow. But you and Riot ain't allowed to sit next to each other. One ain't allowed to leave if the other is already gone. You understand me?"
I nodded.
"Alright. Go to bed." he instructed as he laid down.
"Okay. Did you set your alarm?" I wondered.
He sighed. "No, I didn't."
"I got it, don't worry about it."

I went to his clock to set it. Except I set it for 4pm rather than am. When he doesn't have his alarm on, he sleeps all day because he's just that tired. Which means the rest of us will wake up before him. So Riot can stay with me and not worry about B going to wake him up bright and early.

"Goodnight, B." I stated and put the clock down.
He looked at it and read 4.
"Goodnight, brat."
I watched him put his arm behind his head and close his eyes then I shut off the light and left the room.
