Phil tossed over, the blankets overheating him and practically suffocating him. He pushed them off and they landed onto the floor. Too tired and lazy, Phil left them there and stood up. He glanced at Dan's bed but shrugged when he wasn't present. He walked to the bathroom, flipping on the lights. He immediately closed his eyes and let out a sharp hiss as it blinded him for a moment. His hair was pushed into his usual quiff, his eyes had slight rings and he looked terrible. Though this was normal for Phil on the weekends. He paced around the apartment, gathering his clothing and slipping them on, then running to the bathroom to brush his hair, then back to the microwave and heated up some bread ( He didn't really have money for a toaster ) After eating it and finally sitting down, all Phil did was stare at his phone. He didn't open it, just stared at the lock screen. He bit his lip and started to get lost in the pixel screen. It was of Astroboy... Was that too childish? A 21 year old with an Astroboy background. He unlocked it, shaking away the heat the rose to his face as he became frustrated. No wonder no one liked the real him. He was childish and annoying. He switched the screen to just a plain blue. Sad that his original was gone. He got up and brushed his teeth, sighing as he stared at himself in the mirror.

Phil decided to wear glasses today. He loved his glasses, but now he just felt silly in them. The rims a thick black and the entirety of the pair was just a bit big. But he wanted to hide his face and this was the  best way he could think of without going full on emo. Phil shrugged and pulled his fringe down to cover his eye. He paced into the parking lot, shuttering at the cold air. He rounded a corner and spotted a boy hunched over next to a car. Phil tilted his head and walked over to the boy. It was Dan. He was picking up his car keys which he must have dropped.

"Hey Dan." Phil smiled and waved, as Dan turned around with ease and gazed at the man in front of him. "Where you off to?" He tried to show His friendly side and not the fake 'cool' one. Dan just shrugged and looked at his keys, figuring out which was his car keys.

" I was just gonna try and get my smaller piano for now. It's an electric one. I think the real one is too big."

"I'm sure we can fit the big one in. How about I help you move it and stuff." Phil nervously scratched the back of his neck. The younger boy nodded, and took off his jacket and threw it into the back of his car, smiling lightly. Phil stared at his shirt, a red and black plaid shirt. It was adorable. Phil bit his lip as Dan opened the car door for him, "Thanks Phil, for the piano thing." He muttered and got into the drivers seat and turned it on. The car sputtered for a moment before the engine fully turned over. He pushed softly onto the petal and the car pushed forward. Phil turned his crystal blue eyes to the sky, staring at a fluffy white cloud desperately. He felt so awkward... He shook his head and looked over at Dan, whose eyes focused on the road. He staired, picking up how soft his cheek looked, how many shades of brown was swirled in his eyes. Dan glanced at him, pursing his lips.

"Can I help you Phil?" He looked at Phil more and less at the road.

"U-um Nah. I was just looking out your window.. um.. childhood habit." He lied through his teeth and stared at his black and blue converse, swallowing roughly as he felt Dan hesitantly look back at the road. He stared at his feet, counting the lines of fabric in each lace, trying ridiculously hard to keep his eyes from wandering. The car soon slowed and they stopped at a larger house. He heard Dan mumble that ‘we were here’, and he slowly got out of the car and followed him into the building.  Phil could tell this was Dan’s parents' house, but they weren't home at the moment. He went down the hallway and into a slightly empty room. A huge wood piano stood in the corner, making the room look rustic and calming. Dan pointed to one side and Phil sat down. He took a seat on the bench. Phil watched as Dan took in his room, nostalgia obvious in his facial expression. They sat quietly and Phil waited patiently for Dan to do something.
