Yeonjun felt the tears subside, but he just stayed there on the floor. He stared at the worn down tile, tracing the cracks with his finger. He eventually had to go back out there, but he wasn't ready.
"Yeonjun, are you okay? I heard crying."
Oh god. Please go away.
"I'm worried about you." Beomgyu said softly. "We all are."
Yeonjun felt the tears coming back but he didn't let himself cry this time. Not with Beomgyu right outside.
"I'll be right here when you're ready to come out." Beomgyu said quietly.
Yeonjun heard shuffling outside the door, it sounded like Beomgyu sat outside by the door.
Please just go away. Please.
"Please." Yeonjun whimpered quietly. "Go away."
But Beomgyu didn't go away. Because that's just who he is. He'll stick right by your side to make sure you're okay.
Meanwhile on the other side of the door, Beomgyu was sitting on the floor against the doorframe. He had his knees to his chest. He was worried sick.
Yeonjun had been acting very different. Nowadays he was distant, closed off. He only reacted to Beomgyu's antics on camera. Every other time he walked away from Beomgyu. He couldn't seem to figure out just what was wrong, and that scared Beomgyu.
Beomgyu was beginning to think being an idol was getting to him. He was so much more stressed out these days, Beomgyu was afraid it was just a matter of time before Yeonjun quit. And that couldn't happen. This group was what it was because of Yeonjun, he was what was keeping it together. Without him everything would fall apart. It hurt to see him fall apart.
"You're really gonna sit out here all day?" Soobin asked on the way to his room.
"I can't just leave him in there. He's falling apart." Beomgyu frowned up at his leader.
"I just think we should be giving him some space. If he needs a break, he should take it." Soobin shrugged.
"I need him to tell me that." Beomgyu said, eyes trailing back to the door.
Soobin left well enough alone and headed to his room.
Beomgyu knocked softly on the door.
"I really hope you're okay. You shouldn't have to suffer alone." He said quietly.
On the other side of the door, Yeonjun was already asleep on the floor. He was tired. Just tired.
He was laying on his side, not the most comfortable position to be in whilst sleeping on the floor. But he was too exhausted to care.
A couple of hours later Yeonjun woke up with a horrid pain in his neck and back. He sat up and took in his surroundings for a minute. He checked the time on his phone.
11:47pm.
Great.
He sighed heavily and stood to his feet. He opened the bathroom door and nearly tripped over a body sitting by the door frame.
Beomgyu. He was still sitting there waiting. He was sleeping.
"Why didn't you just go away?" Yeonjun asked softly.
Beomgyu's eyes remained closed as Yeonjun slipped his arms around his waist and under his thighs. Despite the pain in his back he was able to lift Beomgyu off of the floor. Beomgyu's head curled into Yeonjuns chest. Yeonjun prayed that the sound of his heart pounding in his chest didn't wake the younger boy.
