Not proofread don't bully me.

There wasn't a word in the world that could describe the royalty that was Choi Beomgyu. At least not one that Yeonjun could find. Beomgyu was nothing short of perfect in every aspect.

Beomgyu's hair was a dark golden brown, soft like satin, it was just the right amount of fluffy. The back fell at the base of his neck, he tucked it behind his ear quite a bit.

And his face. God, his face. He had the prettiest eyes, eyes like a clear night sky you could lose yourself in. Stars and constellations settled in them like crystals of sugar. They shrunk into little crescent moons when he smiled, that only made them shine even brighter.

His lips...god, his lips. They were so pretty, they were always soft. Beomgyu was very serious about his lip care. It worked him wonders, too. They were perfectly plump and a perfect shade of pink and red. Whenever he talked they were all Yeonjun could stare at, just wondering what they tasted like. Probably like his cinnamon honey lip balm.

Most of all, his smile. A smile so precious and so contagious. He had the ability to make anyone happy with a flash of his smile. It was no surprise that half the world swooned over him.

Being an idol, it meant leaving behind the person you once were so you could explore the world of possibilities as to who you can be. It was great, but it came with a price.

It was a hard one to pay, and it would surely have you drowning in its debt.

Privacy. There were eyes on you at all times, they watched and analyzed every move. One little mistake could destroy everything you've ever worked for. Having secrets was no longer an option.

Being in love with his bandmate was one Yeonjun was willing to take to the grave. He'd worked his whole life just to get to where he was, he's made sacrifices no sane person would ever make. He couldn't afford to lose it.

It did hurt, keeping all these feelings in a bottle that was bound to pop. Every day Yeonjun swallowed the urge to tell Beomgyu how he felt.

Beomgyu was supposed to be like his little brother. That's what his fandom calls him. They call Beomgyu the little brother Yeonjun always wanted. And that was true, for a while. Of course, it was easy to get along with Beomgyu, it was easy to grow attached to him. It just so happened that the feelings grew past just brotherhood.

This secret was eating him from the inside out, crawling up his back like a spider. Yeonjun never meant for this to happen. He didn't even see it happening.

It started small. Thoughts like "he's so cute" as they pulled away from a hug, or "god, he's so pretty" as he played Soobin's guitar. Then escalated to thoughts like "what if I kissed him?" Or "please kiss me."

What sucked, even more, was the fact that they rearranged rooms, so now Soobin had the solo room and Yeonjun was roommates with Beomgyu. So now did he not only have to swallow his feelings during the day, he had to do it at night too. He heard the steady breathing and soft snores from the bed on the other side of the room every night.

It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair that he could just exist and it would take Yeonjuns breath away. Like a million butterflies swarming his stomach and fluttering into his throat, choking him.

"Hey, are you okay?"

Yeonjun snapped out of his daze at the sound of Soobin's voice.

"Hm?" Yeonjun hummed. "Oh, yeah. I'm fine. I didn't sleep much last night."

"Okay," Soobin replied, looking a bit skeptical. "Well our manager just called me, we're scheduled for a variety show today. Get dressed and meet us in the living room."
