Chapter 13

While I'm viewing the stars and the moon's dazzling light in the sky.

Hindi ko alam kung gaano na ako katagal nandito, when someone spoke behind me.

"What else are you doing here? It is already past midnight. You ought to sleep." it was mom pala.

I simply smiled and nodded at her. Akmang pabalik na ako sa loob at dinaanan ko na siya ay pinigilan ako nito.

"So sorry if I made you nervous kanina" giit ni mommy.

"N-no mom, hindi po. I'm just curious as to whether there was an issue earlier po" I uttered.

"You sure? It's look like your uncomfortable"

"Y-yes po, didn't know na makakuwi po kayo ng maaga. Sana ay hindi na ako sumama kay mama" sabi ko naman.

"No, it's not like that anak. It's just-" mom didn't continue what she wanna say when I suddenly hugged her.

"I love you more than anyone" I said at hinigpitan naman nito ang yakap niya sa akin.

"I'm so sorry if that's what I feel honey, I feel like you already distance yourself to mommy" I knew it, she's kinda jealous to mama.

"What! Of course not mommy! You're the one who brought me to this world and care for me than anyone"

"Nako anak naman! Baka marinig tayo mamaya ng mga kapit bahay sa lakas ng boses mo at gabi na" mom stated.

"Why! Wala naman pong problema ah, I'm just expressing my gratitude to you"

"Also I'm sorry and I love you" dagdag ko pa.

"Sleep with us?"

"Sure!" I stated, and mommy and I both ascended to their chamber simultaneously.

When we arrived, daddy was already asleep na, at ako'y pumagitna na sa kanila ni mommy.

"Goodnight anak love you" mom remarked.

"Good night and I love you too po"

Mom embraced me from behind and kissed me on the forehead, and I fell asleep immediately naman.

*Kinaumagahan*

When I awoke, I was alone and watched mommy emerge from the cr, dressed as though she were going someplace.

She suddenly saw me.

"Hi anak! Good morning " she said and immediately kissed me on the forehead.

"Hi mom, morning. Umalis na ba si dad? At mukhang kayo rin aalis?"

"Yes, honey, mommy has an appointment. However, I shall return home shortly. Would you like to join me to the office? Mabilis lang naman ang meeting namin and we can hang-out" giit ni mommy.

"Okay lang po mommy, dito muna ako sa bahay" and I seemed stunned and could not move my body.

"Honey?" mom stated and hold my arm.

"You okay?" dagdag niya.

"Y-yes mom, I'm fine. Ganito talaga ako kapag bagong gising"

"Stay ka muna sa higaan mo a few minutes bago ka bumangon" banggit na mommy na kaagad ko namang sinunod.

I already feel fine after a few minutes. Thus I rose and mommy would have helped me, but I stated that I was already ok.

"Okay na po ako. Let's have breakfast na po. Bago ka makaalis" I note.

"You sure? I can stay home para mabantayan ka"

"Yes mom okay na ako, tara na po" sambit ko at kami'y bumaba na.

"You're already 17 next week anak. Please don't grow up so fast" sabi ni mommy habang kumakain kami.

"Mommy, I'm still your baby kahit ilang taon pa ako. I'll never replace you noh"

"You're too kind for this world, I'm so thankful to have you as my daughter. Never pa kita nakitang nagagalit" giit ni mommy.

"Hindi ko namn po yun magagawa, I must think twice before act. You taught me that kaya"

"Naalala mo pa pala" sagot naman ni mommy.

When we're finished eating, mommy appears to have left her phone in her and dad's room and I insist on being the one to retrieve it.

Pagkababa ko ay kaagad ko naman na itong naiabot sa kanya and she bid me farewell, but I assured her that I would take her to the garage.

When we arrived I immediately said goodbye to mommy.

"Bye mom mag-ingat sa pagmamaneho, I'll wait for you here sa bahay mamaya"

"Bye, honey can't wait seeing my daughter again later. I love you." daig ni mommy at pumasok na ng loon ng sasakyan nito.

Kinawayan ko ito habang papalayo ng papalayo ang sasakyan nito.

I was about to go back inside the house when I saw a familiar face.

It's manang, yung nanghula sa akin noon pala.

As a result, I was unafraid to approach her and reintroduce myself.

"Hi manang! Natatandaan niyo po ba ako?" tanong ko sa kanya.

Tinitigan naman ako nito ng malalim sa aking mga mata at mukhang hindi nagustuhan ang pakikitungo ko sa kanya.

"Pasensya na po kayo kung nabigla ko-" when she abruptly stopped me off from speaking

"Nalalapit na ang oras mo hija!" nabigla ako sa sinabi nito at tatanungin ko sana siya kung anong tinutukoy niya.

"Manang ano pong ibig niyong sabihi-" nang may biglang nagsalita sa likod ko.

"Ma'am sino po kausap niyo?" it was manang pala, at pagka balik ko ng atensyon kung nasaan kanina si manang na nakausap ko bago lang ay bigla na lang nawala na parang bula.

"Nako ma'am! Dumudugo po ang ilong niyo. Tara na po sa loob upang magamot ko kayo" na kaagad akong tinakbo ni manang sa loob ng bahay.
