I don't like the back row because that's where all the bad kids go, because the teacher can't see them using their phones or messing around. And I don't like the front row because you are constantly getting called on and asked questions.
Being in the middle row is the best thing for me. I still get asked questions, but not so much to the point where I want to leave. And I actually do my work and maintain somewhat good grades.
Even if I did sit in the back I wouldn't have anything but work to do back there anyway. I don't have any friends so it's not like I can talk to anyone. I also can't text anyone, because well, I have no friends.
The bell suddenly rings and I take the necessary things out of my bag. The classroom starts to fill in and everyone finds their seats.
••
The rest of the day went by as normal. I got lost a few times trying to find my classes. It turns out, I have 3 of my classes so far with the guy from the store, I still don't know his name.
Currently my worse class is calculus which absolutely sucks. I know some of the material, but I still hate math.
Like expected, I was the talk around school. I expected it though because I'm the new girl. I constantly heard stuff like, "look at the new girl" or "what was she doing with him anyway".
Yeah, running into who I'm assuming is the popular guy can certainly boost the gossip about you. And I honestly don't like it.
I am currently on my way to my last period of the day which is business law. The first bell goes off, meaning I have 3 minutes to find the class or else I will be late.
Ugh, where is this classroom?!
I quicken my pace and turn down another hallway. I look at the number on a door and it says 603. I need class #409! I'm practically running into another hallway and I sigh from relief when I see the classroom #400.
The bell rings and now I'm officially late. I squeeze my eyes shut tight and let out a frustrated sigh. I walk up to the correct classroom and walk through the door. Everyone's eyes turning straight to me in the process.
"And where have you been?" The teacher says. I look at him and he has his arms crossed and his eyebrow is raised.
"I'm sorry.. I couldn't find the classroom, I'm new." I push out. I hate how anti-social I am. I wish I was more out-going.
"Ahh, so your the new student. Why don't you come up in front of the class and state your name and one of your hobbies." The teacher steps aside and ushers me over.
I take in a deep breath and walk up to where he was standing. I turn and look at everyone in the class. I immediately see a familiar pair of deep blue eyes staring at me from the back of the classroom.
I swallow the lump in my throat and begin to talk. "W-well... I'm Anelzee Cruise. And I like to read and write.." I look back at the teacher and he has a smile on his face.
"Nice to meet you Anelzee!" I hear from the back of the room. I turn my head and see the same boy with blue hair standing on his desk flashing me a big smile and 2 thumbs up.
Everyone laughs at the guys outburst and I giggle. I then notice he is sitting next to the boy from the store.
"Mr. North, get off the seat! You may sit Ms. Cruise." The teacher says. The guy sits back in his seat and I look around for one. There is only one seat left and it is in the middle isle next to a blonde haired girl.
I hesitantly walk over to her and sit next to her. "So your the new girl everyone is talking about?" She turns towards me.
"Yeah... I guess.." I mutter and take out a note book and a pen.
"Cool, I'm Lita." She gives me a warm smile.
"I'm sure you already know my name." I let out a little laugh and start writing down notes.
"So is it true that you ran into Ty in the hallway?" She smiles and moves closer to me.
So that's what his name is!
"Uh.. yeah, it is." I laugh awkwardly. Her smile only grows and she continues to ask questions.
She asks questions like where I moved here from and what I like to do other than read and write.
"So, do you have any friends yet?" She mentions as we finish writing down the last of the notes and put our notebooks back in our bags.
"Uh no, I actually don't." I sigh and look at my hands.
"Well, you've got me now. People say I can be a bit boy crazy. But I don't think I am. I don't have any friends because everyone thinks I'm nuts. I'm not nuts I'm just special! They should know that." She rolls her eyes and the bell rings. I laugh at how hectic she is.
She is not what I expected her to be. She treats me like I'm another human being.
"So, give me your phone. I'll put my number in." She reaches out her hand and smiles at me. I smile and place my unlocked phone into her hands. She puts in her number and texts herself so she has mine.
We both say goodbye to each other and walk out of the classroom and our own ways. Now time to get home and do all of the boring homework that I have.
All in all, today wasn't that bad of a day. I mean yeah, I bumped into Ty and was talked about by the whole school, and I was late to a bunch of my classes. But at least in my last class I met a friend!
Today was actually successful. But now I have to worry about tomorrow.
