The next morning I was woken up by the sound of a phone ringing, Steve's phone to be exact. "Hello" he said into the phone groggily in his deep, raspy morning voice and quickly sat up after listening on the other end.
"That was the guy we have a party tonight where I'll get to meet the main man behind the project" Steve said as he smiled widely "I guess this has officially started" I said as I got out of bed.
"We need very good first impressions" he said as we brushed our teeth together. "Ready for a quiz?" I asked as I spat out my toothpaste wiping my mouth. I sat up on the counter swinging my legs back and forth as Steve leaned on the counter ready for my questions.
"How did we meet?" I asked "easy, at a bar you were out celebrating a new project and I was with co-workers" he smirked "when did we get married" I further interrogated "3rd of January" he replied quickly.
"My turn" he said "Where was our honeymoon" "Greece and then Italy" I answered quickly. "We got this" I said done with our little game now. "We got this" he repeated.
"Now Chris would you be a dear and help me pick out a dress for this fancy party?" I asked "sure can do sweetheart" he replied as we walked over to the closet.
"How about this?" he asked holding up a short fiery red dress "too skimpy for a rich formal party" I said disagreeing. "Well then this is perfect" he said handing me a different dress now. "I'll leave you to get ready" he said as he left the bathroom.
I turned the curling iron on as I started sectioning my hair, I lightly curled the ends brushing my fingers through them as I clipped it back ready to start my makeup. I did a natural look focusing on my eyes as I finished up with some nude lipstick.
I slipped into the dress as I strapped on some heels. I smoothed out the beautiful champagne coloured midi dress admiring myself briefly.

I walked out and downstairs to Steve who was wearing a suit analysing his phone "so the drives about 30 minutes it's a very hidden location" he said before looking up. I did a little spin taking in his amazed expression.
"Wow" he said subtly looking me up and down but I was too taken back by him to notice. He looked charming. "Let's go shall we" he said as he placed his hand out for me to grab.
