Epilogue

He is 10 years old now, and happier with his life. He is a smart kid in school, he loves to play piano and is very good at football. He has twin brothers to play with so he wouldn't get lonely. And he loves the twins a lot.

Arthur and Thea were glad that the twins love their big brother, once they were old enough to understand things and began to talk, they would always go to him and ask him to play with them. They got along together and always spend time together everyday.

Sometimes Josh would rather sleep in the twins's bedroom. One time, Thea found him reading a bedtime story to the twins when they were around 3. Since then, Josh would always read them a bedtime story until now. He also loves to spoil them with hugs. He is being a good brother to the twins.

Thea had just finished baking some cupcakes for her guests when Josh walked in the front door, kicking his shoes off before he entered the kitchen.

"Hey, how was school?" She handed him a glass of water and took his bag from his shoulder.

Their relationship is great. Josh has always loved Thea as long as he remembered. And Thea loves him as much as she loves the twins. He is happy to live with her and his father, though he's still learning to see her as his step-mother, but he's getting there.

"It was fine, I got an A for my math test." he took the glass of water from her hand.

"That's brilliant, Josh, well done. I'm so proud of you!" she gave him a hug.

"Thank you."

Josh used to see her as his father's friend, but by the time he reached 7, he learnt that his father had married her for years and that she became his step-mother.

"Are you making cupcakes?" he leaned in closer as he smelt some sweet scents.

"Yes. They will be ready in a few minutes. I baked your favorite too."

His eyes lit up as she mentioned it. "Cookies and cream? I can eat chocolates now?"

She grinned, waiting for this moment. "With extra oreo on top. And yes, you are officially unbanned from eating sweets."

He hugged her. "Thank you, thank you! I have missed eating chocolates, and I love your cupcakes. They are the best!"

Josh had dental problem for eating too much chocolates. Arthur brought him to the dentist a few weeks ago and found out he has got cavities on his teeth. Since his dental visit, he was banned from eating sweets, especially chocolates until his teeth got better.

"Wow, that's a huge compliment, Josh. Thank you," she caress the back of his head and kissed his head. "I'm glad you love them. But go easy on your teeth, okay? They're still healing."

"Okay, I promise!" he then kissed her cheek. "Love you, mummy."

She froze as she heard him. Josh always calls her by her first name, she was under the impression that Josh might not be ready to call her 'mum', which was fine by her. So hearing him call her 'mum' surprised her.

She tilted her head so she could see him. "You called me mummy."

He turned shy like he didn't realize what he just called her. "Yeah I- can I call you mummy?"

That's enough to make her heart burst in happiness. "Of course you can, sweetheart. You can call me mummy whenever you are ready, I'm gonna be very happy."

That made him smiled. "Okay, I will call you mummy from now."

Her eyes watered as he said that. She had always wanted him to call her mummy. So hearing that he is ready to call her mummy made her happy.
