I'll try to make this story light. I changed the timeline to July in the first chapter. Sorry, my mistake. Thanks for the 100 reads! Credits to the owner of the picture.

SEASIDE PARK, YOKOHAMA.

"We're here."

Akari scanned her eyes around her surroundings once they arrived at the said location Izana told her about. The tanned-skin boy parked his motorcycle somewhere near an open space area and turned off the ignition. Akari got off first but accidentally tripped on her own two feet and lost her balance.

Oh, crap! I'm about to fall!

Luckily, Izana-who was still on his bike-was fast enough to grab her by the elbow before her body could come in contact with the ground. "Hey, watch it," he said then released her quite immediately as soon as she was able to steady herself.

She faced him and plastered a small smile underneath the helmet she wore. "Oh, thanks."

He clicked his tongue. "How clumsy can you get?" he snarked.

Akari pulled her eyebrows together and pursed her lips. Ugh, still an arrogant jerk. And here, she was trying to act nice. So much for being grateful. A simple 'welcome' wouldn't hurt, right? "I got a little dizzy," she tried to reason out and put her hands on her waist. "You could've driven slower, you know."

She watched him hop down his bike and put his motor key inside his sweatpants. "Don't blame my driving for your stupid clumsy ass," he retorted, making her only puff her cheeks in annoyance. Afterward, he took off his helmet, his bleach-blonde hair got tousled due to friction, and just combed it with his fingers, then he helped her remove hers next by undoing the straps. He went back to his motorcycle and just placed the two helmets on each side of the handgrips.

"Will it be okay to just leave the helmets on your bike?" she asked as soon as Izana approached her. "I mean what if they got stolen?"

"No one will dare to steal my property unless they wanted their asses kicked," Izana answered meaningfully then shove the brown paper bag he was holding right into her face. "Now, take this."

"Huh, what's this?" Confused, Akari peeked inside the given bag and her face lit up in delight as she saw her favorite snack. "Whoa, taiyaki!!!" she squealed happily. "And there are five of them!!!" She looked at him, grinning foolishly from ear to ear. "I thought you said only three? Yet, there are five. Can't resist my indomitable cuteness, aren't you?"

Izana snorted and stared at her, deadpan, like she just said the dumbest thing on earth. "Who the hell's cute?" He flicked her forehead. "In your dreams, squirt."

"Ouch!" She winced in pain. "Hey! What the heck?!? That hurts!" she hissed angrily, rubbing her forehead. She glared at him. "And who are you calling a squirt?!? I'm not that small!"
