The Baby - GaLe/Gajevy

Chapter 2

Gajeel and Lily shook their heads, unsure of any names. Levy picked up she baby who giggled. She then dropped the letter and saw another piece of paper fall out. Levy bent down, baby still in hand. She read it over. "It has the baby's name, gender and date of birth" she told Gajeel, rolling her eyes. "You could have read the letter idiot" Levy once again read out the details

Name: Rose
Gender: F
Birthday: 5th May

"So your name is Rose" she said the baby. She giggled in response. She looked over at Gajeel who was still hiding in the corner "She's not a bomb you know" Levy said, rolling her eyes. Gajeel slowly walked over to Levy and looked at Rose. She had purple hair and brown eyes. The baby looked at Gajeel and started to wriggle in Levy's arms, trying to get to Gajeel, he hands pointing in Gajeels direction.
"She wants you to hold her" Levy smiled. Gajeel's eyes went wide.
"Um... no thanks shrimp, i'm good" he said taking a step away. Rose looked like she was about to start crying. Levy walked over to Gajeel and held Rose out. Gajeel sighed and, knowing he had no choice, took the baby. He hel her under her arms, he feet dangling, his arms outstretched as far as they would go.
"Not like that!" Levy said quickly, taking Rose back in her arms. Levy held rose on her hip, supporting her back and bottom."Like this" Levy passed Rose back to Gajeel who gently held her like Levy had taught him. Rose started to giggle and Gajeel smiled. Rose then grabbed Gajeels hair and started pulling it
"OW OW OW!" Gajeel shouted loudly. Levy took rose back.
"It's like a game of pass the baby!" Panther-Lilly said. Both Gajeel and Levy jumped a little. They forgot he was there. Levy placed Rose on the ground. She started to crawl towards Lilly. She grabbed him and started to cuddle him as if he where a teddy bear. Lilly couldn't breath. Levy began to laugh. Gajeel looked at Levy as she laughed. She had an adorable laugh an her face went all cute when she laughed as well. Gajeel turned red at these thoughts.

Levy went over to Lilly still laughing. She managed to pry Rose's hands off the exceed. Rose began to cry when Levy pcked her up, struggling to get back to Lilly. Gajeel backed himself into a corner again at the baby's cry. Levy shook her head and giggled at Gajeel before taking a kiwi out of her pocket
"Want to give him this?" she asked Rose in a baby voice. Rose took the kiwi from Levy and Levy put her on the floor. Rose thrust the kiwi at Lily, who took it and ate it. Rose giggled once again an started to pull Lilly's tail.

Gajeel couldn't help but laugh as Levy attempted to pry Rose off Panther-Lilly's tail. When She finally got her off, Lilly ran on all fours, like a real cat, out of the room. That made him laugh even more. Levy then looked at her watch
"I'd better head back to the guild. Lu-chan is expecting me back for a review on her story" Gajeel's eyes went wide.
"NO! You can't leave me here with that thing!" Gajeel exclaimed. Levy's smiley face turned into a scowl
"That THING is a baby girl!" she exclaimed. Gajeel instantly felt guilty
"I'm sorry" he apologised "please help". Levy sighed.
"Ok" she said "If you want my help your gonna have to come to the guild" Gajeel instantly shook his head.
"No I can't! The other guys will rip the pee out of me!" he said. He was about to swear when Levy scowled and pointed to Rose.
"New rule" she said "No swearing in front of the baby. Also, I'll tell the guys she was left on my door, so you don't feel embarrassed" Gajeel felt guilty. Technically this baby was HIS responsibility, but Levy was willing to take it. "I'll have to leave Rose with you for 10 minutes while I run to my house and get one of my old doll buggy to push her in" Gajeel was about to protest but Levy was out the door faster than you could say Iron. Gajeel sat down on the sofa. "It can't be that hard to take care of a baby" he said to himself

CRASH

Gajeel looked around to where Rose once was. She was on longer there. He ran out into the hall "NO PUT THAT DOWN!" Rose had somehow gotten a hold of Panther-Lilly's sword and was swinging it about the place. 'This is gonna be a LONG 10 minutes' Gajeel thought to himself as he chased the crawling baby around. He managed to grab Lily's sword before she could do any more damage. He turned around and placed it on a high shelve. He turned back and she was gone again. He herd Panther-Lilly yell from the kitchen. He ran through to see Rose strangling the poor exceed giving him a cuddle. Gajeel ran over and attempted to gently pull Rose off Lilly. Although, being the big, clumsy person he is, accidentally pulled a bit to hard and hurt her. She started crying. Gajeel had no idea what to do.

-10 minutes later-

Levy arrived back at Gajeels house with a dolls buggy that was big enough to fit a small child into. She knocked on the door before opening it and saying "It's me!". It was quiet. To quiet. WAY to quiet for a house that contained a baby and a dragon slayer. Levy walked into the living room to find Gajeel asleep with Rose laying on his chest also asleep an Lilly curled up on his lap.
