Chapter 14 ~𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕~

"Uhhh... autumn," he said while thinking through his answer

"Hm, interesting," I said while looking at him intently

"Why? What's your favourite season?" He questioned

"Spring"

"Why?" He asked while looking down at me

"Because that's when all the animals come out of hibernation although I do love autumn because of the pretty colours" I answered "Why is your favourite season autumn?" I asked

"A lot of reasons but mainly because it's the best season to play volleyball in, not too hot but not too cold AND you get to see pretty colours while playing," he said while looking straight but with a smile

"Why does your whole life revolve around volleyball? Why do you love it so much? I've never really understood how you could love something so much" I said while looking up at him

He snapped his head down to me before answering "Is there not anything that you love?"

"No, not really" I said while thinking about things I could love

"I love volleyball so much because it's the reason I can live. I want to live life instead of life just passing me by and the only time I feel as if I'm living is when I play volleyball, what's the point of life if you don't live?" he said with a smile the whole time and I felt my heart go warm from his smile. My eyes widened in shock at what he said

I didn't realise that I'm not living and I'm only letting each day pass me by until just now
I don't actually live I'm just waiting to die

"I hope to find something like that someday," I said as I looked away from him and looked straight ahead instead

"I hope you find it too, Y/n" he mumbled so I didn't hear him

"What did you say?" I asked while looking up at him

"I said we're almost at the grocery store," he said while pointing at the shop that was a few minutes away

"Oh yeah cmon let's get moving," I said while speed walking

We sped walked to the shop and waited for the automatic doors to let us inside

"Ok so, I would pay but I'm broke from all the cheeseburgers the other day," I said while laughing nervously

"Don't worry, it's on me," he said while laughing and rolling his eyes

"WAIT! I THINK I CAN CHIP IN!" I said happily

"No no, it's on me dont worry," he said while walking to the refrigerators

"Are you sure?" I asked nervously

"Yeeesssss."

"Can we buy enough food for everyone else?" I questioned while following him

"Yup! Luckily, I just got my pocket money" he said while opening the refrigerator door

"What juice do you think everyone will like?" I asked from behind him

"Uhhhmm cola maybe?" He said

"Yeah, I mean who doesn't like cola?" I said with a shrug

"I know right," he said while grabbing three bottles of cola

"You need a hand?" I asked while raising an eyebrow

"Uhh well, I'm strong enough to carry all these obviously, but you might not be strong enough to carry the rest of the food so go get a shopping cart," he said while turning around slightly to face me clearly struggling to carry the cola, I laughed a little
