I'm never comfortable at parties, or any social event to be honest. Looking around at all these people who had all the money in the world made me feel so small and so nervous. I don't know why. It's for Madison so I couldn't say no...she's my bestfriend.
"Hailey, there you are! I've been looking all over for you, are you ok?" Madison greeted me with her wide smile.
"Yeh, the party's great. Excuse me, I need the toilet."
"Just come and find me once you're done."
I didn't actually need the toilet. She's 16, two years younger than me, and I feel so ugly when I'm around her when there's other people here. She's gorgeous, I can't compete with her.
I walked with some pace to get there quicker as the awkwardness of walking through all these people is horrendous.
Before entering, I straightned out my white short dress and fixed my hair a little. You never know what's around the corner, literally.
"Oh, sorry!" I sighed as I accidently bumped into a girl, yet again a million times prettier than me.
"You should be. Watch who you bump into next time, loser." Her and her friends laughed as they walked out. I looked down and carried on walking into the bathroom.
I couldn't help but let the tears fall one by one, dampening the cloth on my body.
They got heavier and heavier, to the point they weren't controllable.
I rushed out as quickly as I could, trying to avoid anybody seeing me like this.
"Hails! What's the matter?!" Madison called running after me.
I finally got outside, inhaling a deep breath as I tried to calm down.
"Will I ever be good enough, seriously?" I sniffled then continued, "You're two years younger than me and have done more than I could ever do. I'm not like you. I'm not pretty, talented, or worthy of anything. I'm so done. If it wasn't for you and...and my mom I wouldn't be here right now. I'm sorry."
"Listen, do not put yourself down like that. You've just started your modelling career! Who knows, you might get as big as the best! You're gorgeous, Hails. When we met when I was thirteen I always wanted to be like you. I honestly did. You're a role model to me, I don't know what I'd do without you." She wiped away a tear that sliped and we both embraced eachother into a hug. "How's the councilling going? Honestly?"
"Honestly?" She nodded. "I'm not going anymore."
"What? Why?"
"I don't know I just-" I paused. "Dr. Melly creeps me out." I laughed.
"Oh, Hailey! I'll book you to another one if you want?"
"No, no. It's fine. I'll sort it." I smiled, "Go back in there and have fun! You're sixteen."
"Where are you going? Are you coming back in or not?"
"No but I'll come to your place tomorrow. Promise."
"Ok well if you need me just ring me, ok? Love you."
"Love you."
I called a cab and sat on the bench opposite the club and waited. I looked over and saw the silhouette of everybody dancing and couldn't help but start crying again.
I wish I could be like everybody else.
I saw somebody walking over to me so I rose incase they were 'high class' or something.
"Excuse me? Hi, I'm Justin. Hailey, right?" I nodded. "I'm just checking you're ok? Madison told me that her bestfriend was upset and any friend of Madison's is a friend of mine."
I literally couldn't breathe. Justin Bieber is even sweet in person than you think, and don't forget hotter too.
"Oh, erm, yes I'm fine, or I will be...no I'm not really." I sighed. "Sorry, it's been a long day today."
"Do you want to talk about it?" He smiled.
I shivered because even I hadn't thought about it. Thinking about IT makes me feel sick and I want to faint.
"Not really, but thank you for asking. Not many people do." I laughed nervouslly.
"Do you want me to call you a cab or drive you home? It's freezing out here, you might get sick."
"I called one not long ago, but again thank you. You're so sweet." I smiled, " I can see why Madison likes you so much."
"Well I'll sit out here with you until it arrives."
"Sure."
"So...How old are you?"
"I'm 18, and you're 19. Right?"
"Right."
"I'm not a stalker or anything but I hear, or the whole world, hears about you quite a lot."
"Yeh, that's very true." He laughed but then carried on, "So do you want to-"
Beep, Beep!
"Oh, that's my cab. I better go, but I'll see you soon maybe."
"Wait!" He ran over to the car and opened the door for me, completely melting my heart.
"I'll see you around too." He smiled, "Wait, that didn't make sense did it? I mean't that-"
"I got it. Goodbye Justin."
He shut the door for me and waved. I knew that all I would think about this whole lonely and long way home was him. Justin Bieber.

Justin's Point Of View

"Madison?" I called.
"Hi Justin! Is Hailey ok now you've spoken to her?"
"Yeh, she's great. I just needed to ask if you have her number? She, erm, she..." I scratched my head, "Oh! She left her phone with me."
"Why do you need her phone number then?"
"So I can call her and tell her I have it obviously?"
"But you have her phone?" She laughed and smirked at me.
"Oh...yeh. My mistake."
"Somebody's got a crush then?"
"What? No! She's just great company." I could feel my face burning the brightest shade of red.
"Pass me your phone." She rolled her eyes. "There. Now you can go call her and go on dates and get married. Bye, I'm getting back to the party."
"Thank you."
I called the number instantly, and almost instantly got an answer.
"Hello?"
"Hi, it's Justin? You know, from the party?"
"Oh, hi Justin."
"Can I come to your place? You left your jacket with me."
"Sure, I'll text you the address."

I smiled down at the texts, already liking her. Not in the 'like-like' way, just as a friend.
Just as a friend.
