When I'm gone remember who felt you the realest
Who looked at the trees knowing they held the spirits
See my face in your dreams and let yourself smile
My wild hair , mile long stare into different dimensions
When I'm gone keep me in mind
My voice and my eyes
Let The blue of them shoot thru your veins and pen as you sketch the universe
Let a verse from a poem I wrote light up your room
Let a story I told unfold like I told it with all my excitement
Know I listened to all sounds I could handle
Soaked it in, burned and burned
When I'm gone play me back in your last thoughts of dark and bright days
My tape and my vision
My colors belligerent defiant way of living
Remember how I fell so hard
In quest and in love
Forever searching you deserve the best
Destroy and rebuild until I was easy again
When I'm gone remember the day my perception morphed from a black strain to a soft, steady train
When I began to see the subtle beauty in the little things
The day I noticed I did not need to escape anymore
The day I realized I was patient, secure
And the sun hit my face
Reviving the space I roamed
And although my nightmares riddle my sleep
When I'm gone
Know I found a small bit of peace
