Chapter 51: Memories

Start from the beginning

"Ooh cool." I say, enthusiastically.

"Shit. I forgot my phone, you go on I'll be right back." Jayden says, walking back.

"Yeah, ok." I nod, before walking into the boat.

Across from me is a pretty tall guy, he has brown hair and light eyes, he's wearing a t-shirt with some shorts. The shirt's tight, and enhances his biceps. He has sunglasses on, and he's holding what looks like a white claw.

"Hey." I smile, walking closer to him.

"Hi, woah. Damn. You're so..." He looks shocked as he scans my body.

I hope Jayden isn't seeing this.

"Amber. My name's Amber." I smile, trying to ignore his burning gaze on me.

"Woah uh I'm Kyle." He smiles.

I smile as he shakes my hand. Holding it way longer than necessary.

I hear footsteps behind me before I feel a familiar hand around my waist, pulling me towards him.

"I see you've met my girlfriend." Jayden says, glaring at Kyle.

"Oh uh yeah, man. Uh let's get going." Kyle says, nervously before telling the driver to move.

I laugh as we sit down, Jayden pulls me on his lap as I notice us moving further and further from the island.

"Is he seriously drinking on the job?" Jayden mumbles.

"Relax." I say kissing him.

"Really regretting hiring that tour guide now." He mumbles, kissing my neck.

"Stop. You're gonna mess up my concealer." I giggle.

"Why do you have concealer on your neck?" He asks cluelessly.

"Because I'm apparently dating Damon Salvatore." I say, sarcastically.

"Fine, next time I'll give you hickeys where no one else can see them." He says, tracing his hand over my fishtail braid.

As much as I hate the marks, I will admit that it feels so good. At the moment at least.

"I hope we see dolphins." I comment, looking into the deep blue waters.

"Are you guys ready for the tour?" Kyle asks, smiling at me.

He really can't take a hint.

I nod, awkwardly.

"Ok so in about 20 minutes we're gonna stop over there. You guys can dip in the ocean, then we can go further towards where dolphins normally are. And pray to god that y'all are lucky." Kyle smiles.

"Cool." I smile.

20 minutes go by really fast, Kyle tells the driver to stop. The water's clear around this area. The gorgeous colorful fish are swimming around us.

"You guys can go in, completely safe." Kyle states.

Jayden's phone rings, he looks at me. "I really gotta take this, babe."

"Go ahead." I nod assuringly.

He picks his phone up and moves to the other end of the boat, taking the call.

"Wanna go in?" Kyle asks.

"I can't swim." I answer.

He chuckles. "It's like 5 feet you'll be fine."

"I'm 5'3 dude." I add.

"Dip your feet in? It's truly magical." He says. And I cringe internally.

"I'm good." I smile, looking at the fish with an amazed expression on my face.
