I SAT ON THE SCORCHING CONCRETE
losing my patience, waiting for boris to stop by. it was too hot to just sit out here and wait but he told me to.

i sat outside waiting in a black tank top, some light blue denim shorts and a pair of black flip flops.

the sun burned on my naked shoulders while the mini breeze moved my hair across my face.

summer break just started about a week ago and i don't know what i'll be doing exactly but i know whatever i'll be doing, i'll be doing it with boris. that's all that matters.

boris texted me about 5 minutes ago saying he had a surprise for me and told me to wait outside but i'm super excited because boris has never failed with a gift.

but like i said, i am getting impatient.

i was relieved when boris finally pulled up on the street. i smiled and got up from the burning concrete. i wiped my butt off as his glistening black car turned into his driveway.

i put my hair behind my ear and stepped onto the sidewalk coming from the steps.

i waited while the fat inch closer to me but finally came to a halt. boris put the car in park and shut off the headlights.

i walked closer to the car as the loud engine shut off. the car door open and boris stepped his feet on the ground.

i figured he wanted me to come over there so i made my way over to the driver side and saw boris with his feet out of the car and his body facing the car door.

i smiled and stood before boris as his eyes squinted from the beating sun and gave me a little smile. he opened his arms.

i stepped closer to him bent over as i wrapped my arms around his neck delicately.

"hi angel." i said getting whiff of cigarettes and cherries from the air freshener he had in his car. he wrapped his arms around my back and pulled me, squeezing me with all his might.

"привет кукла" boris responded softly.

"i missed you." boris added.

"you just saw me last night, boris." i groaned as he squeezed me.

"too long." he groaned. i pulled away from the boy as his fingers dragged across my hips.

i stood back up straight and looked down at the boy.

"so, do you want to see surprise?" boris asked stepping out of the car and standing up in front of me.

"hell yeah. i didn't wait in this heat for nothing." i said trying to be silly. he threw his head back and smiled as he pushed my head away jokingly.

i giggled and brought my head back up as he brought his head back down.

"then move!" boris joked pushing me me from the behind the door. i gasped dramatically as i jerked.

he laughed and moved from behind the car door, closing it after him.

"well i'm gonna wait in the house because it's too hot." i told his as i began to walk to the front door.

"okay!" the boy responded opening his on of the back doors.

i walked to the front door and opened the front it, stepping into the cool house where the music i had playing earlier grew louder.

i left the door opened behind me.

i sauntered to the couch and plopped down on the cold leather right in the middle.

i rested on the couch, waiting for boris' surprise. i was sooo excited. it could literally be anything coming from boris.

i got excited when i heard the front door shut. i tried to turn around but was stopped by boris' demand.

"nope, turn around."

i scoffed and turned around, rolling my eyes.

i slipped my flip flops off and brought my feet on the couch, sitting with my legs crossed.

i waited a few more seconds before a black kitty was brought over my head and put in front of me.

my eyes grew bright and i gasped, grabbing the kitty from the boys hands. i smiled and held the kitty by it's underarms in my hands.

i admired everything about it from its smooth black fur to its big light green eyes.

i could almost cry. boris came around the couch and sat down closely next to me.

i brought the kitty to my chest and hugged him delicately as i rocked him back and forth.

"i hope your sister is not allergic." boris said with a giggle.

"she isn't." i said with a whiny sound from the happiness i was feeling. boris giggled and put his arm behind me on the couch.

the kitty felt so soft in my arms.

"thank you, baby." i said scratching the kitty's head.

"of course, winnie." the boy assured me.

"where'd you get it from?" i questioned the boy while he looked between me and the kitty.

"i found him last night at gas station but i kept it secret until this morning. don't worry, already bathed him." boris assured me.

i giggled and rubbed the kitty's head.

"what should we name it?" i asked overjoyed as i turned my head to boris.

"well.. he's a boy so i was kinda thinking gizmo?" boris suggested. i was already in love.

"yes!" i exclaimed.

"gizmo emi pavlikovsky." boris added faintly. i turned and looked at him with a faint smile. boris was always such a sweetheart.

i nodded and brought my attention back to the kitty. i laid my head on boris' shoulder and he wrapped his arm tightly around my shoulder and we sat there listening to the song, peacefully.

boris is my sweetheart.
