I took a quick step back and rubbed my eyes.
I looked into the mirror again.
Nothing.
Hallucinations. I thought.
I tried to remember what happened or how I ended up in this place. Nothing.
I think back to the dream I got, the people in that dream specifically. They were my friends.
Friends.
Where are they? Are they stuck like me in this place?
I looked around the room for any form of communication.
I found an old-fashioned telephone. I quickly ran towards the telephone and picked it up.
"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" I said into the telephone.
No reply.
I screamed out of frustration.
I threw the telephone across the room.
I couldn't be here. It is a mistake. I can't....
Breathe, Kayla. Focus.
I slid down the wooden wall, unshed tears threatening to spill out.
No. I can't be vulnerable. I have to find my way out.
