"I'm so sorry Hugh. I... I didn't-"
"So love it is!" Hugh's sudden words made his honey eyes dazzle in bewilderment under the amber lamps. He gulped down his lumps while shades of crimson painted his pale temples.
"Stop being transy!" Hugh patted his forearms, making him jerk.
"Maybe..."
In a moment, his pupils wandered to the closed diary sitting stilled over the table at the left corner. But Hugh was too efficient enough not to miss the eerie glance.
"Now I know what kept you occupied!" He jumped out of his relaxing cushions in an attempt to grab the diary. But to his amazement the diary was already floating high, making him decipher Aaron's trick.
"Wait, wait! Was that your confession?" Hugh rubbed his inquisitive itchy palm.
"Why would you care too much?" He whispered while keeping his palms raised to float his secrets.
"You write okayish verses and that's why I was here. Now that you have written something for your lady, it will help me judge you." He tossed his little fingers towards him.
"Judge me for?" He downed his palms, letting the diary rest in inertia.
"Why should I tell? You will do anything for me right. You gave me your word of friendship." His brow twitched with his voice.
"And why should I care?" Aaron crossed his arms with a smirk.
"Okay! Look, I'm not in love or something but I want her to be happy again. She has cried enough-"
"Yeah yeah! Enough to have a place in your teeny tiny heart." Aaron winked while shrinking his thumb and pointers close enough.
"Oh my! Haahaa! Love. Isn't. My. Kind!"
"Does that mean you will blush while you see any woman's eyes? You were weird. Above that, you called her your princess the very moment you saw her." Aaron crossed his pointers with a serious tone.
"Oh come on, get some sense. I was being flattery that day." Hugh shrugged.
"Aish! Here is the pathetic prince who ignores what his heart desires." A clatter of claps followed suit.
"So do you."
"Hey hey. Mora is something special to me."
"That can't be a confession. Eir to is special to me but that doesn't-"
"Oh my my! It's too pleasing to see two tender peacocks fighting over the new monsoon rain. Ahh! How speedy the years have flown by!"
The sudden comment made the boys hush. They bobbed their head to the sides to see the teal blue eyes glint their lamp pecked gentle glitters.
"Mom!" The guys cried in unison.
"Lessen the efforts. I know what is the problem with you two." With her black mat porcelain steaming cup adorned with golden cracks, she walked in.
"Mom that's not right for you to overhear us." Hugh crossed his palms.
"Neither it is right for you to deny what you seek with all your bone."
"Mom don't get me in the drama. I know what's on your mind."
Galene sipped her cup and lifted her brows.
"Okay, I know you liked Eir the moment she was here." Hugh pressed his lips thin.
"Haahaa! From when did you start dreaming things?" Galene couldn't hold her laughter back.
