"Singing the song again Mira?" I chuckle, correctly adjusting her glasses for the hundredth time.
"You bet!" She beams, a pack of small children following her and begging her to tell them of everyone's gift. One kid in particular completely engulfed in caffeine.
"And that's why coffee is for grownups" she says, taking the cup from him before continuing.

I jump, heart beating out of my chest from how sudden it was.
"Jesus Christ~" I breathe, holding my chest and urging Mirabel to continue.

I shift to all fours, placing everyone on my back before bolting through town where Tía Julieta was serving food to the injured and sick. Upon seeing her daughter, she grabs her face and gives her kisses on her cheeks.
