1 - the project

Midoriya's pov:

"alright guys be quiet." mr aizawa sais as the crawled out of his sleeping bag
"before you go to your next class i wanted to tell you that you have a group assignment the information is on the sheet take one and pass it back." he handed a stack of sheets to the people in the front row. kacchan passed me 3 papers and i passed 2 on to mineta. jeez i hate group projects i wonder who my partner will be..

"alright groups are on the board this is non negotiable. you dont have class time to work on it so figure it out on your own" i look up to the board and scan it for my name.

oh shit..

izuku midoriya and katsuki bakugou.

kacchan slowly turned his head around to look at me, jeez hes pissed. i mean its not my fault!

"well then i guess were partners kacchan!" i said with a smile i cant let him know how nervous i am. "shut up shitty nerd just come to my dorm at 8 dont you dare be late" and with that he got up and left.

during lunch all i could think about was me and kaachan working together, this is gonna be an absolute shit show.. the project is we have to pick 5 heros and write all about them, luckily i have my hero notes so it shouldnt be too hard but still, when it comes to kacchan i have no doubt hes gonna make this harder than it has to be.

"izuku youre muttering again" uraraka said pulling me out of my thoughts. "oh, sorry uh what were we talking about" i said nervously. "who cares, so are you scared to work with bakugou?" she asked "um, not really i just dont want him to be such a jerk, its honestly getting kinda old you know?"

liar.
you love him either way, you could never get sick of him.

after lunch it was training time, my favorite part of the day! i got dressed into my hero costume and went to the gym with all the others. we were just doing some sparring, i was with todoroki. "so whe are you gonna tell bakugou you like him?" he whispered while shooting ice at me. the question caught me completely off guard and i froze (figuratively and literally)

all mights voice boomed through the gym "TODOROKI WINS" and with that he unfroze me and we went to take our seats to watch the next group. bakugou and kaminari.

"why did you say that? i dont like kacchan" i whisper-yelled once we sat down "then why did you stop fighting allowing me to win?" "well i- i was just surprised thats all, it caught me off guard" "because its true" "no its not. i dont like kacchan like that" i said ending the discussion.

of course it was true..

i focused my attention on the fight infront of me. kacchan was so cool. kaminari is strong and all but cmon, he stands no chance against kacchan. with one final explosion kaminari was knocked to the ground, certifying kacchan victorious.

"BAKUGOU WINS" all might said "now, since bakugou and kaminari were our last group lets reflect on our matches" one by one he said what each person did right and wrong.

"young midoriya, you were doing well until it seems todoroki said something and you just stopped, what is it that he said that caught you so off-guard it caused you to lose the match?"

shit.

oh no.. what do i even say? i cant tell the truth.. what do i say?? "i asked him when he was going to tell bakugou he likes him ........ to throw him off" todoroki said in the most monotone voice.

"yeah.. it just confused me cause i dont know why he would ever think i liked kacchan." i said trying to make sure no one knew my secret. i could see bakugou getting more and more mad. "WAIT NO. i meant like i like you kacchan just not like that! i dont like kacchan in a romantic way but i still like you as a fri-" "SHUT THE FUCK UP SHIT NERD GO TO HELL" kacchan yelled before storming out of the gym.

i flopped down on my bed in exhaustion. today has been such a terrible day. its not just after 5:00. i know i have to meet with kacchan at 8 but im even more nervous than i was before. i seem to just make everything worse.

i hear my phone beep and look over to see some texts from our friend groupchat.

iida: yes. that was indeed quite strange.

me: ugh guys can we not do this rn  please, nothing happened.

todoroki: like i said already, i asked midoriya when he would confess his feelings to bakugou

uraraka: yeah i get that.. but like why? do you like bakugou izu?

me: no! of course not. he just said that to try and put me off my game..

iida: and it appears to have worked.

me: ugh shut up iida

i turned my phone off and fell face first into my pillow. why does todoroki have to be so blunt all the time?!

after a few minutes of sulking into my pillow i decided i should probably get something to eat. i walked downstairs and got out a ramen cup cause i was too lazy to make a proper meal. i popped it in the microwave and when it was finished took it out and went to go to the living area.

sitting on the couch was none other than kacchan, kirishima, kaminari, mina and sero. i turned to walk away when kirishima yelled out to be to come join them.

"oh.. no its okay ill go eat in my room.." i said awkwardly "nonsense dude cmon sit with us" kirishima said to which everyone (except bakugou of course) agreed, so i sat down next to mina and farthest away from kaachan.
