"H-hello, Masahiko-Senpai. H-how are you?" She asked, mentaly slapping herself for stuttering so damn much in front of her crush. Masahiko smiled his beautiful signature smile of pearly white, straight teeth, and said, "I'm doing quite well. How are you?" Ha-Rin giggled and blushed at his soft, face red like a cherry.
"I-I am doing good as well." She said softly, blushing at his deep but soft voice. He was, and always will be her one and only crush, and she still becomes a blushing and stuttering mess around him after all the years they have known each other. His voice was calming, and he made people feel relaxed around him.
"But what's this about joining the student council? Are you guys interested?" Ha Eun asked, resting her head on her hand, elbow on the table. She twirled the straw in her drink between her fingers, nails a light shade of pink with cute pandas on them. She was not afraid to speak her mind, and always wore a smile, whether it's sarcastic or joyful. She dressed how she liked, and usually dressed the same as her twin. And she always wore a hat, even when the teachers would tell her to take it off, she refused. "It doesn't belong to you! I'll wear it if I want too!" She would always shoot back, then walk away, strutting with her fierce 'I don't take shit from you' attitude.
"Yeah, we are." Masahiko said, nodding.
"No, you are. I never said I wanted to join." Joo-Won stated defensively, glaring slightly. There was no way in hell he was joining. He knew he would burst into tears the second someone said just the smallest mean thing to him. He's a crybaby by heart and he knows it.
"Well I think you'd be good for it! Your artwork is very nice!" Ha-Rin said as she ate a bite of her fried egg and rice. He groaned. Again, he knew his art was good, but most definitely nowhere near appropriate for school! He would probably get suspended for sure! Not to mention all the kids will make fun of him. Is it too much to ask to just never be noticed by anyone?
"That's not the reason I don't wanna go." He partially lied. "I don't wanna go because the room will be filled with giant twelfth graders, and you know how rude they can be! They call us ninth graders shrimp! And there all so intimidating!" Masahiko rolled his eyes. "Oh, come on! You don't even have to say anything. You can just do the tasks they hand out, no questions asked. And I'll be with you the entire time!" Ha-Eun nodded in agreement. "True. He won't ditch you. And the head of the student council is Lee JongMin! You know, the really cute guy. Not only that, but he's so sweet! And smart. And such a... such a gentleman!" She giggled trying to think of the perfect word, and blushed just thinking about him. Her twin nudged her with her elbow.
"Grow up. And I thought you were a lesbian?" She said playfully. Ha-Eun rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I am. But even he makes me question my true sexuality." She joked, then sighed. "I mean, it would be better if he was a girl. But beggars can't be choosers. I guess he's just an exception." She said. "And it's not like you don't have your crushes!" She whispered in her ear, nodding towards Masahiko, who was now rummaging in his book bag oblivious to the conversation, pulling out a student council flyer and handing it too Joon-Won. He knows she likes him, but because they are friends, he plays dumb. He doesn't want to ruin the relationship they have now because he can't share the same feelings. Don't get him wrong. He thinks she's a beautiful girl, but he sees her as he sees all his friends. As family. Ha-Rin blushed madly, shutting up, silently admitting defeat.
"That's one of the flyers the student council put around the school and were handing out. I grabbed one this morning." He said and pointed to the flyer. "And it's in Mrs. Lee's class after sixth period. So we could go together." He brushed his hair out of his eyes. Ha Rin watched out of the corner of her eye, wanting to just pet his soft locks.
