Just Another Puzzle Piece

She just wants to feel special
To feel as us she is different from all of the others
To know that what is said to her is more meaningful
More genuine
More in depth, more personal
Than what is said to anyone else
She wants to feel wanted,
Needed
She wants to be a necessity not a commodity.
She wants to be more than a simple piece to the puzzle,
She wants to be the picture when the puzzle is complete.
The picture on the box that you are endlessly trying to figure out
Because you must persist, you must refuse desist
Until you complete the puzzle because,
You want to figure her out;
You need to figure her out,
To understand her.
You need to see for yourself the true beauty behind the empty shell of a girl on the box that has far more to her than she allows persons to see
She refuses to allow anyone penetrate her soul, her mind
She doesn't want people to see, however you are an exception
She wants to let you in but you won't even come to the door.
She wants more than many empty, meaningless words
She wants to hold a key, any key that would give her access to you
For all that she wants is to feel special
All that she hopes for is to feel wanted
No matter how small or insignificant her uniqueness to you is, she simply wants to be felt,
To be seen;
Seen as more than just another ordinary puzzle piece,
She is more than that.
She is more than you will ever know because you refuse to know.
Why do you refuse?
Why won't you see her as more than that?
Why won't you view her as she views you?
Why do you refuse to even attempt the puzzle that she has given you, and only you
You of all people, special access to?
The part of her that she has kept hidden for so long
The part that she allows no one to see
The part that lies deep within and holds her most sacred thoughts and her most vulnerable states.
Why won't you try her puzzle?
Why won't you try?
She has already completed yours a thousand times....
