Chapter 6 - Keaeya gives off small PP energy

We soon reached the building and Kaeya took us to an office. And guess what? Jean wears jeans.

Jean(s) Pov - 

Stormterror has been causing problem to the kinghts for almost a week. Today it was spotted in the Whispering woods. I was scared because I had sent Amber there to clear out a hilichurl camp. Lisa managed to calm me down and said that the part Amber was supposed to go was quite far from the place it was spotted.

Soon I received news that Amber had entered the city with three strangers. I was curious about them when the winds started picking up speed. Stormterror was attacking Mond. The knights began evacuation of the city and I was about to attempt to fight it myself to get us some time when I saw a blond haired boy defeat it with a massive blast of electro swirl. The dragon attacked his friend before flying away. I thought that one of the saviors of Mond had been killed in front of me but he managed to survive. I asked one of the knights to contact Kaeya and bring the travelers to my office after they were healed.

I was surprised when Kaeya walked into my office stating that the travelers were outside my office. This idiot, I asked him to get them healed first not bring them to my office while they were hurt. What kind of first impression were we giving!

I asked them to enter and Amber introduced us. I was surprised to see that the white haired one had wings and almost mistook him for Barbatos when I remembered that Barbatos is supposed to have white wings, not black and gold ones. His wings seemed to be the only fresh injury. He was missing an arm but the wound looked old. This scared me. Someone managed t Stormterror's attack at full force and managed to only get slight wing damage which was starting to heal. What scared me even more was what managed to hurt his arm. I couldn't see his face because of his mask but I was sure it probably had some scars too.

I had to do something quick. Kaeya had managed to ruin our image already and if I do something wrong they could probably destroy Mond.

"Mondstadt welcomes you, windborne travelers. I'm Jean, the acting-grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius. This is Lisa, our resident Librarian." I introduced us.

"Oh! Are you sweeties here to help us out? You're all so adorable! Especially the little slime ;)" Lisa said in her normal flirty tone.

"Lisa! We're literally married! Could you not flirt with the saviors of Mond" I begged her.

"Oh Barbatos, she's going to get us killed".

"Sorry Jean darling, no need to be jealous. I'm not going to cheat on you. If you want we can adopt the cuties (;"

"L-LISA!"

"I'm joking, I'm joking. No need to get serious"

"Lord Barbatos, I can see the pathway to Celestia. Everyone else from Mond is with me too. I'm sorry, I couldn't save them :'("

Luckily the travelers weren't offended.

"Travelers, I'm sorry for the inconvenience but the knights can't help you right now. Not until the Stormterror incident is resolved. If you could aid us in these trying times, I swear on my honor as the acting-grandmaster that the knights will help you the best way possible"

I saw as they discussed something amongst themselves. Aether suggested something and Asomoday nodded in response. The whole time I was sweating bullets and when they told me they agreed I'm pretty sure half my soul ascended to Celestia from sheer joy.

Then Huffman quickly opened the door and managed to hit Asmoday's almost healed wings with it. Seeing him silently hiss in pain send the other half of my soul to Celestia too. I quickly apologized and told them about the plan to destroy Stormterror's power source in temples of the four winds. I requested Amber to show them a room in the HQ and asked them to rest till tomorrow.

The moment they left, I almost stabbed everyone in the room.

"KAEYA, LISA, HUFFMAN! WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO GET US ALL KILLED!!!"

"What?" all three of them responded in confusion.

I told them about all the times they almost got us killed and lectured them for 3 hours straight.

"Hey Jean, no need for all this. I found out that Asmoday's wings heal slower than rest of his body and seem to be a lot more sensitive to pain. Worst case I would have attacked them and it would have incapacitated him long enough to allow us to capture him" Kaeya said with a smug grin to which I responded by throwing my shoe at him and lecturing them for 1 more hour. 

In the end all of them looked almost dead and left me alone. 

I was about to go back to finishing my paperwork when I heard a knock on the door. I asked them to enter and saw Aether. Oh, no. Did he hear Kaeya's stupid plan about attacking his friend? No, that can't be it. He would've entered my office lot sooner if he heard it.

"Anything you need Aether?" I asked, trying my best to act cool.

"Um, acting gran-" he started as I quick cut him off.

"Just Jean is fine" I assured him.

"OK, Jean. So I was wondering if we could get some books about the local language and some new weapons" he asked sheepishly.

Ok this was confusing. I could understand the language part but where did the weapon part come from.

"You can take the books from the library. As for the weapon, I don't think we might have weapons suitable for both of you. I mean you guys manages to scare Stormterror with your weapons." I stated the fact. Perhaps he thought the knights had some ultra powerful weapons but in truth the only such sword had been takin by grandmaster Varka.

He chuckled in response and showed me his weapon. I was expecting an all powerful sword but it was....

"A dull blade? Aether you mean to tell me that you fought Stormterror with a dull blade!? Please tell me Asmoday was using something like a Sacrificial fragment and managed to give you a power boost."

"He doesn't have a weapon" he responded calmly.

"I-I'm sorry. I think I misheard you. Did you just say that both of you fought Stormterror with a dull blade and without a catalyst for channeling elemental energy" I asked hoping he was just joking.

"Yes" he responded firmly.

"Ok, I need some time to collect my thoughts. Could you leave me alone for sometime? I will meet you tomorrow to discuss about the weapons" I requested.

"Understandable, have a great day" he responded.

As he was about to leave the door he called me, voice completely void of emotions and cold

"And Jean?"

"Y-yes?" I managed to response.

"Try to not attack my friend, alright? Otherwise Mond might have to pay the price" he said without looking back.

"Y-YES SIR!" I instinctively responded as he left.

As I was left alone in my office trying to process what just happened, I finally realized. We were so fucked. These two fought Stormterror and forced it to flee almost barehanded and he just gave me a warning to not hurt his friend. He heard Kaeya's plan. We were all going to die if something happened to him.
