the minute I held my breath, the flood in my heart, the storm in my eyes, the earthquake in my hands.
The wait lasted a minute but took a lifetime of my memories.
I abandoned years of happiness for you.
The result of my sacrifice led to destruction and theft, screams and tears.
this was the cost of your survival.
The minute I held my breath was the second you left.
