Sam wasn't going to be a part of the story originally. He was actually a very last minute addition. I decided I wanted add a small romance subplot, so I made Sam Jacob's love interest and vice versa.
He's a cautious man who looks out for those he cares about, but I imagine him not being very well at staying focused (prevalent by the scene in Laurence's club when he struggled to read his card while Jacob was doing some stuff under the table lol) and he's also very indecisive.
I've decided that his parents are indeed alive, both of which were previously working for Kane, plus a sister who has a casual job as an accountant and that Sam still talks to them frequently. Despite this, I don't see myself ever mentioning them in the actual story, but who knows. Maybe one day.

I wanted Laurence to be a character that makes your skin crawl, who gives you the creeps. He's an ugly old man with no heart. However he does have his good qualities. He is nice at times, albeit not often, and he is very much open to new ideas. That's all I have to say about him really.

Kane is obviously the sweeter one between him and Laurence, and that's exactly what I intended. I wanted people to view him as a friendly man, despite the fact that he doesn't really talk or do much in the story. He has his priorities straight and knows what he wants, when he wants it.
He still talks to his sister (the one who fostered Evan) and also his mother who is living in a private mansion (owned by Kane) in Beverly Hills. Bougie, I know.

Now, let me set something straight. If you don't want to picture them this way, or already see them in another way, by all means don't make these pictures change that. These are purely for the ones who struggle to picture descriptions. This is how I originally imagined them.
And I've been seeing a lot of comments about people not really liking Saniya all that much. Although it is a little sad to see people dislike my OC I can totally see where they come from.
In the beginning, I'll admit, Nya acts like a huge bitch. That's why as the chapters have progressed I've slowly been transitioning her into being nicer towards Evan. Remember, this is supposed to be enemies to lovers, and I didn't want to jump straight to the 'lovers' part.
