Chapter 48: New Beginning

Lou woke up early and found that the brunette was still sound asleep on her chest. She listened quietly carefully and observed Debbie's breathing rate against her chest. Apparently, that music from elsewhere last night was still playing, but a different song:

Listening to the song, Lou slowly, but softly allowed Debbie to roll onto her side. She made her way outside to the balcony and stood out there, taking in the fresh breeze and the sunrise that hugged her. She inhaled the scent of freshly fallen rain and thought about Debbie. Everything about Debbie. Lou's mind wandered and evolved only on Debbie, including her heart. Lou dug her hands deep in her pocket and took out a note. It was the confession note Debbie was going to read when she came back from Canada. Lou still kept it.

They say the world is made for two;

The Sun & The Moon,

The Land & The Sea,

The Fire & The Ice and so on and so on.

Truthfully, the list will go on for eternity.

For every one thing, it has a connected pair;

The Night & The Day,

The Lost & The Found,

The Hopeful & The Hopeless,

And the list will continue on, until every last

Substance in the universe has its own pair.

And I used to hold favour with the side of this world that

At my worst point, not a single soul resided next to me.

I was completely and utterly alone...

It wasn't long till Debbie, cold from the air that gushed upon her, grasped her hands tightly against the bed sheets, thinking it was Lou, only to wake up to an empty space next to her.

"Lou?" Debbie whispered. Debbie stood up and rubbed her blurred vision. She searched around the room, till she saw Lou's figure outside the balcony. Although she was exhausted, she made her way over to Lou with a blanket in her hands.

"Lou, why are you up so early?" Debbie slithered her hands around Lou's waist from behind and rested her head against Lou's back. Startled, Lou cursed and quickly hid the note, but Lou has read the note more than you could ever imagine, she knew the following lines:

I couldn't have a match.

It was impossible for someone to love me,

Nevertheless, for me to love them back.

They say the world is made for two;

Backwards & Forwards,

The laughs & The cries,

The rise & The fall.

The list can go on forever.

Although I never thought I'd be on the list.

However, here we are, so connected
