Chapter 44

The two angry girls sit in front of me while I wipe my face

Scar:"we are waiting"

"I never cheated"

Brie:"hmm"

"I swear it"

Scar:"so where did liz randomly get this idea then?" she raises her eyebrow

"because I told her I did" I look down

Brie :"huh?"

"that night that I was talking with you brie, about me and liz, I got a text from Katie"

Scar:"your ex?"

"yes"

Brie :"you cheated with Katie?"

"I didn't cheat, but I told liz that I got with Katie"

Scar:"why?"

"because Katie found out that liz is my teacher. She threatened that she would go to the Dean, my dad, and tell him the truth."

Brie:"oh jen"

"and she said that I had to get back with her in order for liz to still be a teacher"

Scar:"why didnt you tell liz?"

"because I knew she would try to talk me out of it. She probably would have quit her job. I couldn't let that happen"

Brie:"but why lie and say you cheated-with Katie of all people"

"I thought it would be easier for her to hate me. I knew that would hurt her and that she would despise me. And it worked" I say sadly

We sit in silence for a few minutes

Scar:"I'm sorry about the smoothie"

Brie:"yeah and the water"

"no I deserved it. I'm an idiot"

Brie:"yeah an idiot for not telling us" she rolls her eyes

"there is nothing we could have done, liz would have been fired. I could never forgive myself"

Scar:"I really wised you would have said something though, so you wouldn't have to suffer alone" she looks at me with sympathy

"and now Katie is as crazy as ever because I thought I had gained enough of her trust to forget this stupid deal. Didn't go down well" I sighed

Brie:"listen you go take a shower and wash off all of our anger, and we can talk some more when you get out"

"okay okay"

I get up and take my much needed shower.

When I'm out I put my wet hair in a messy bun as I'm too tired to dry it. I walk back into the girls in the kitchen.

Brie:"you know, I think if you told liz, she would be understanding"

"no way"

Scar:"she would be mad as fuck, but she would see that you did it for her"

"I somehow don't see that happening guys"

Brie:"oh come on, it's only a few weeks till graduation, you guys would be able to be together!" she says excitedly

"you know I want that but Katie..."

Scar"fuck Katie! We can deal with her after, lizzie comes first "

" but guys"

Brie:"no buts. Here" she throws me my car keys

Scar:"head to campus, she always stays late"

"should I really be doing this?"

Scar:"probably not just go!"

I quickly head out the door and make it to my car. As I'm diving I get extremely nervous. Almost too nervous making me wanna turn back.

I park my car at campus and head towards her room. I stay outside the door for a few minutes gathering the courage to go in. Then I heard laughing coming from the room.

I peek in the window, as sucb not to be seen. She is with Mr Evans. Chris.

And... They just kissed.
