"Young lady where are you sneaking to"my mom's voice boomed behind me making me halt my steps but didn't turn to face her.
Damn it, I thought everyone was busy with Priya's wedding.
"Young lady,I thought I asked you a question"she said standing in front of me while I let out a nervous Chuckle
"Oh hey Mom,you're here"I said scratching the back of my head
"No am there"she replied sarcastically
"Where in the world were you tiptoeing to instead of you to be with your sisters getting Priya ready"she asked hands akimbo
"Actually Maa, I was going to get somethings for Priya,she asked me to get her jalebi(India type of sweet) from the super market down the street"I lied
"Jalebi? But we have enough jalebies in the fridge so why would she send you to buy her jalebi?" mom asked scrutinizing her eyes at me....silly me,I didn't come up with a perfect lie,how can I forget that our fridge is always stucked with jalebies since Its one of our favorite sweet
"Urm she said that she want the local one so I should get it for her ASAP"I said emphasizing on the ASAP
"Fine then,hurry up,the wedding will soon start"she said walking away and I released the breath I've been holding.
Actually, I'm running away from the wedding till evening.... weddings are boring...

"I can't come with you guys,go without me,am heading to the mall to grab somethings"I said picking my car key that was lying on the couch
"Fine then we're leaving" dad said walking out with Navita and mom.
I didn't want to follow them not because of the mall lies but because I don't wanna see that ugly duckling,she's going to ruin my day and I don't want that.
I got into my car and slam the door shot before kicking it to life then zoomed off through the gate that has been opened already.
"Now where do we go to" i said to myself thinking... Yes the market square,I've always loved watching their display every Thursday....it's been long......
I Swerve the car to the direction of the market square then drove off in a full speed.

"Come patronize us some other time ma'am" The cashier said as Arjun and Hapitha walked out of the mall....
"Sure"she replied waving at the friendly Cashier
They went to get new Saris for Hapitha since she claims that the one she has had worn out......they almost bought the whole mall....
"Hey careful with that bag,don't let my Saris touch the ground"Hapitha said to Arjun who was dragging 8 shopping bags filled with sari...
He held 3 each in his hand and two under his armpits while Hapitha just catwalk behind him.....he was actually serving the punishment for commenting on the look of another lady that's not her.... "Such audacity" she thought as she catwalked behind the frustrated man to their car.
"Please help me with boot" he said to her when they got to where their car was parked breathing thrice at a time
"Hello,I just manicured my fingers, I can't use them to touch anything for now"she said folding her hands under her breast......
She's very lucky that he's so inlove with her else, he'd have flung her inside the nearest trashcan for making him suffer like this.
He opened the Boot himself carefully so as not to drop any of the bags on the floor then dropped the shopping bags inside.......he closed the Boot and heaved a sigh of relief and tiredness.
" You're wic.ked Hapitha, you made me carry those bags without lending me a helping hand"he said still breathing fast
"Duh,that's what you get for admiring a lady in my presence....infact you have no right to admire a lady that's not me even when am d.e.a.d so thats your punishment,argue and I'll make you drive like a snail"she threatened
"No no no,my lip is sealed" he said using is hand to demonstrate a zip on his lip then threw the imaginary key away.
