Chapter Twenty-Two: The Villian

Start from the beginning

"My anxiety was not because of him, Professor Snape. I have asked you to leave me alone, I have asked you to give me space, and it is clear that you intend to do none of those things. So please dont tell me who I can be around,"

"I know you dont trust me, but he is the reason you were taken," he said, causing me to stop in my tracks, "Think about it. I bet you remember small things with him, and only good things none that are bad. That should be your first sign, especially since you dont remember a single memory with me," he said, looking back at the Professor behind me.

I didnt say anything as he looked down at me with concern. He was right in a sense, but I knew no matter what I had no intention of believing him. He tried to reach for me but I took a step back before his hand could touch me. In a quick instant, hands were placed on my shoulders and Snape sudden changed his stance. I was sure it was Professor Sheen who was pulling me away from him, but my eyes stayed connected with his until he finally turned away walking back towards the dungeons.

I couldnt help but think that maybe he had a point, but it didnt matter anymore. I needed to just focus on the present even if that meant never getting back anything I had with Snape.

Severus's POV

My mind was swirling with the thoughts of what he could be doing to her. I knew the anger was beginning to make this so impossible, but constantly watching her was not working. I slammed the door behind me, locking it so no person could watch or hear what I was about to do.

"Kreacher," I said at once.

A small pop was heard before the old house elf looked up to me with a look of pure exhaustion. I know this looks bad, but it isnt what it seems. I knew wizard magic was never going to get me back the love of my life, but I knew what potentially would. Elf magic. Kreacher was a mess without her, so instead of Remus and I, its has been Kreacher and I.

Kreacher had been searching for her for weeks, and searching for cures for her memories and her scars. He was able to find the antidote for the scars but the memories was more complicated. Whatever magic Sheen is using its past dark magic, its worse. The scars were a way of permantely scarring her. He wanted her to lose her sense of worth, and the antidote was one that was not easy to get. In addition, the memories may be worse. He altered them so he must fix them.

That has been the worst part.

"Kreacher has not found anything yet in relation to the memory charm used on Master" he said, pacing around in my room.

"Have you been following her like I asked you? She cant read your mind like she reads ours," I said, slightly raising my voice.

"Kreacher has seen Master go to the Whomping Willow but nobody has been seeing going in with her or out,"

That was just it. I looked back to Kreacher with a smile on my face. There are two ways in and out of the Whopping Willow also known as the Shrieking Shack. Whoever she was going in there to see was very important to her, and I may be wrong, maybe she was in there to feel a sense of closeness to Sirius but it was highly unlikely. I looked back to Kreacher, telling him exactly what was on my mind, and in that instant he apparated out of the dungeons.

Now I only had to wait.

I had sat and taught the rest of my classes, waiting for the day to come to an end. I knew that in only a mere few hours it would be time, and maybe she would go to the Whopping Willow. I had known that she and Remus were not talking, or at least keeping there distance because it was clear when she was not clinging to him like she had when she had returned in her state. Her visits with Molly were still happening but less frequently. I knew she was trying to gain what she had lost, but I was sure that what she really wanted was her memory, or I liked to think.
