They were silent, when suddenly, one of their phones rang.

The man picked it up, his face twisting into an ugly expression before he said, “It’s the young miss.”

“Ptui! What young miss!” The other person grabbed the phone, his eyes full of resentment. “Not knowing how big the world is, and thinking she is all that. She didn’t even know the details or information of the person she targeted, letting us rush in to die on our own!”

People in the ancient martial arts world respected power, so even though Lisa had beaten them up, they didn’t hold any grudge toward her. Instead, they had inexplicable feelings of worship toward Lisa.

Once the call connected, Yeri flashed a warm smile at the celebrity beside her before walking into a corner to take the call. Before she could say anything, a mocking tone came from the other end, “Young miss, do you know who the other party was? You actually asked us to deal with her? Fu Yeri, I don’t care if you want to die, but don’t drag us down with you! If you land yourself in big sh*t, I don’t want to die with you!”

The voice that spoke was no longer respectful, but full of mockery and anger.

Yeri couldn’t even let out a word before the harsh words were thrown, and the call was hung up without waiting for any response from her.

An angry haze shrouded her pretty eyes. When did people treat Yeri like this? As the most outstanding descendant of the Fu family, she was always sought after no matter where she went. This was the first time someone from the Fu family had shown her such disrespect!

“What a waste of space!” They couldn’t even handle an ordinary person like Lisa. “I’ll let you off today.”

Yeri took a deep breath to calm herself, before plastering a smile on her face. Before even managing to take two steps out, she saw the Fu Enterprise secretary walking over in a rush. “Miss, President Fu requests your presence upstairs.”

“Why so sudden?” Yeri asked hesitantly, looking at the expression on the secretary’s face. Wasn’t Joongki meeting with someone from the top management of Nine Heavens right now?

The secretary glanced at Yeri, and said carefully, “Miss, the president… he didn’t look very happy.”

“Alright, I know.” Yeri felt flustered at the words, but she calmed herself the best she could, heading upstairs.

As they headed up, an elegant man with glasses was making his way down.

“Mr. Mu.” The secretary stopped walking, greeting him politely.

Yeri was taken aback. Although Joongki’s secretary was usually a very approachable person, it was rare to see him displaying such respect.

Because he had been brought up by Joongki personally, his position in the Fu family was not any less than her own. There was also a time when Hyekyo had wanted to formally adopt him, but had been turned down by the secretary himself.

Apart from Hyekyo and Joongki, it was rare for him to even treat her with such respect. Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but glance at this Mr. Mu.

The person carried himself with elegance, and was a refined-looking man. The eyes behind the glasses were sharp, and he looked to be about in his mid-thirties.

How was it that he was able to make Joongki’s assistant treat him with so much respect?

Thinking that this person definitely was not some random commoner, she too nodded at Mr. Mu with respect.
