As the moon rose high into the sky, casting its cool shadow onto the city below, the dark streets empty by this hour, well, almost empty. a figure shot down the quiet streets, their feet moving as fast as they could, zipping past buildings and closed shops.

"Alright, it should be on your left now, turn down that street and continue for a half mile" sharply they turned and continue down the dark alley, the rapid sound of quiet footsteps setting their own beat.

Finally he came to a hult, assessing his surroundings very carefully before slipping in through one of the windows in the kitchen.

Quickly glancing around as he shut the window, letting out a short breath in relief.

The police on duty outside walking around the building looking out for anything suspicious, they wouldn't find it though, they were looking in the wrong place, that wasn't very new though. after all, they hadn't caught him yet had they?

"Okay... hades you need to get to the second floor, go down the hall, the door you're looking for is the third on your right. got that?"

"Yeah.. got it, then where?" The sound of rapid clicking came through the ear piece, followed by some mumbling as his "guide" found what he was looking for, and just like always he exclaimed that he "got it" he certainly wasn't the easiest to work with sometimes, but he was the best.

"Now you're gonna grab one of the spare uniforms and head through the double door, you should come into the main room, from there you need to head up the stairs, then you'll need to. hold on… looks like there are some guys up there. someone got a good rat... no problem, divert to the next floor and continue to the other side of the building. ill guide you through the back rooms" he opened the cabinet and reached for the closest one that might fit, his mask changing to mimic that of an older man that would fit in.

"And what good will that do me? Is there a way down from the third floor?" a quick "yeah" came through and he walked up the next set of stairs, marching down the long hall and to the room as instructed.

thirty minutes later the police had all scrambled to reach the noble's room, a bullet lodged so deep in his head it was probably tickling what was left of his conscience, the bright blue eyed man in black sitting on a roof pretty far away taming his hair.

For a moment the cold night washed over his face before the coms opened and the sound of his guide came through, a yawn making its way out as he waited.

"Put your mask back on, we have one more job tonight. then you can head back to base" with a sigh he did as told and once again slipped away into the night, leaving behind the same sort of scene he always did.

"You owe me Chinese" a laugh came through the coms and he smiled.

"Yeah, yeah. only if you get through this Mission without using that gun of yours" the sound of a knife clicking into position the only noise before he jumped down and pushed the blade into the back of someone's neck.

"Deal"

The link closed and they sat back in their chair, a smile of utter confidence on their face as they looked over their shoulder.

"You really shouldn't treat this like a game" his eyebrow shot upwards and his eyes relaxed as the light from the computer faded from view.

"Why not, everyone else does" his voice cold and sarcastic, something commonplace with this man, the very air in the dark room felt chilled to the touch.

A silence befell the two men until the operator's guest decided to take his leave, a distasteful look on his face when he did so.

"That doesn't change the facts, this should not be taken lightly"

'If you can't stomach it, you shouldn't have signed up in the first place' with a calm swivel of his chair he spun back around to the large monitor, reactivating the screens and getting back to business as usual.

"Progress report" the ruff sound of Hades voice as he sighed filtering in as he pulled up the next set of maps, furious click clacking filling the void till the man replied.

"Seventy percent of one hundred, location is on so you can get the rest by your damn self" a smirk worked its way forward as he spoke, his predictions were almost always right.

"Already got it" from screen to screen he watched and guided the god assassin to his newest destination, a target hopefully worth the effort this time waiting.

'Who am I kidding, I know they won't last a minute and a half. Please spare me spiel included' an almost bored look resting in his eyes as he watched the video feed, pointing out which house they were to enter.

"Left, top of the stairs first door" a few rushed steps and one plea later and the mission was complete, he could take a nap while Hades made his way home.

"I'll take lo main and some dumplings" the coms click off and he yawns, scooting away from the desk and powering down everything but the essentials.

The quiet sound of him getting up as he reaches for the door, walking out and pushing it closed.

"Chinese can wait" all he wanted now was a good night's sleep, while he wouldn't admit it he was just as mentally drained as the field agents were physically after a mission.

'Plus they don't have to deal with the director up their ass as often' the dim light from his nightstand fading from view as sleep took over his senses until morning, a sweet relief from the day to day of his cursed profession.

"Bing!"

"Ughhhh"With that, his nap was over.
