ii. Saving Grace, Vol. 1

i have been leaning into a more simplistic cover style lately. i don't know if it's due to my growing amount of laziness or whatever, but i think it's good. it drives me out of my comfort zone and makes me more diverse in my graphics. however, this one took a lot of doing. i had to change the concept four or five times and almost gave up. i do love how it turned out, though, so it's a win for us.

this is the first book cover i've ever made for saving grace. the last two were both made by tati, who helped me create the plot of the book itself. i'm proud of what i've created, considering that sg is that one book of mine that doesn't get enough of the love that it deserves.

i mainly took inspiration from this particular poster of this is us.

collage covers and posters have a special place in my heart. they're the first kind of covers i've created and loved (i don't really do them the way i used to now), and this cover of saving grace is a good callback to my old favourite. the last one i did was way back in what, 2017 or 2018? and it was for a sherlock holmes' daughter story i never got to write. what a shame.

i made two manips especially for this, in case you hadn't noticed.

i know, the job on the english boys' faces and hairs we're not exactly the best, but i think i did a decent job on swapping their faces with someone else. i'm still working on polishing my skills at this field.
