Crouch, Bind, Set! (All Out!! x Reader)

16: Break

"Here." he looked up to see (Y/n) holding out a water bottle for him. "Drink up."

Hesitatingly, he took the bottle from her and took a sip. (Y/n) placed his towel over his head, so that partially it covered his face, and ruffled his hair through the towel before walking back to her spot beside Komori. Unbeknownst to her, Oharano pulled the towel over his face even more to hide the blush he suddenly had.

The game continued with a scrum and Sagami got the ball.

They passed the ball a couple of times before Jinko tackled them and caused them to drop the ball. Raita managed to catch it before it hit the ground and quickly passed it to Matsuo, who did a high punt towards Sagami's side.

Sagami's #14 ran to catch it. He stood where the ball was going to land and was waiting for it to drop into his arms, before another figure came sprinting. The figure jumped up and caught the ball before Sagami #14's eyes. It was Ebumi!

On the way down from the jump, the blond had somehow caused the opponent to fall backwards while clutching his throat.

"Try!" the referee announced after blowing the whistle when Ebumi had touchdown-ed the ball.

"Wow! I can't believe he caught up with that." Umeno exclaimed. "He scored a try against Sagami!" "Are you underestimating our Ebumi, Umeno?" (Y/n) teased her fellow manager as she watched the conversion kick play out. Unfortunately, it was a miss. But Jinko still got 5 points from the try.

"He missed the conversion..." Umeno couldn't help but to say it disappointedly. "But it's 7-5 now. That might change the mood." (Y/n) reassured Umeno since she herself suddenly had gotten hyped from the play.

The players got into another scrum and this time Sagami got the ball.

They passed it a couple of times and Kasuga charged towards the player to tackle them.

"Stay low!" Komori suddenly shouted and (Y/n), who was standing beside him, couldn't help but to flinch. She didn't expect a shout, especially from Komori himself.

Kasuga heard the instructions and lowered his form. He tackled Sagami hard in the abdomen and caused him to drop the ball forward.

"Knock-on by Sagami!" the referee announced.

Umeno and Gion cheered in excitement.

The forwards went back into a scrum again and it was Jinko's turn to get the ball. Raita tossed the ball towards Ebumi who immediately began running once he got a hold of it.

"It's him again!"

"Hana, stop him!"

Hana, Sagami's #14, was obviously thinking back on what had happened not long ago and was hesitating on what to do against the blond. Unfortunately for him, he didn't manage to decide on time as he got knocked down to the ground once again.

"Try!" the referee announced and Jinko earned another 5 points.

"Nice, Ebumi!" (Y/n) cheered for him although he could barely hear it. She couldn't help but to feel the adrenaline pumping through her body when she watched the boys play.

They managed to score the conversion kick as well and gained another 2 points. "He made the conversion! It's 7-12! We've made a comeback!" Umeno at this point was jumping with joy seeing how Jinko has a chance to win the match now. "Calm down Umeno. The match is still not over yet." (Y/n) held the girl in place by her shoulders to calm her down.

Yoshida then clapped his hand as if he was amazed by the spectacle. "That was certainly impressive. It's easy to score when you have a fast runner on your team." his voice was clearly laced with boredom, "I thought rugby was a sport that was all about teamwork?"
