Almost thirty hours... I was so exhausted, lying on a soft blanket the midwife had provided for me. It was excruciating pain, but after all my endurance, the last forty minutes were the most exhausting of all, and the most crucial. Samuel was by my side the whole time, not even a hint of sleepiness in his voice or expression.

There was crying from the other side of the room. Neither me nor him were even brave enough, breaths stuck in our throat to look at the tiny being in the corner. We were both aware, the poor thing was too small to survive long.

"Is.. is it a girl or boy?" I finally croaked out, voice raspy from screaming.

The midwife, a homely older woman, was silent for a moment, staring at the child, who looked fragile enough to made out of sugar-spun glass. From the bed, I could just make out a full head of thin, white loose curls slightly matted with blood.

"It's, it's a girl," She said finally, breaking the deafening silence.

"Is she okay?" I whispered out, even though I knew the answer, nails digging into Undertaker's wrist, tears leaking from both our eyes.

"She's..."
